Expert Analysis
Matt LaSalle | Prep Hoops Scout
Riverasoto helped lead his Gulf Coast squad to a 14-11 overall record, and District runner-up. The 5’9″ PG is not only the true definition of a PG but also the true definition of a leader. He is a very smart player who is a proven floor general every time he steps on the court, and is willing to do whatever it takes to help his team win. He scored 20+ points multiple times this past season, including a season-high of 22 against Naples. Riverasoto has a tremendous outside game, where he shot 37% from behind-the-arc, and averaged 13.9 ppg, 3.7 rpg, and 2.2 apg in this his final season for the Sharks.

Riverasoto has had a great start to his senior campaign. The 5’9″ guard knows the game very well and is a true leader for his Gulf Coast squad. He has tremendous court vision and likes to play with the ball in his hands, facilitating the offense. Riverasoto is a quick, shifty guard who can score in bunches. He can beat you off the dribble and get to the paint to create, or pull-up and knock down the jumper when needed, but where he can really hurt you is from deep, as he scores from behind the arc at a very high-rate. He has multiple double-digit scoring games and recorded a season-high 22 points in a matchup with Naples earlier this year. Look for him to continue his hot start as the Sharks gear up for the second half of the season.
