Prep Hoops Circuit – The All Session 1 Team

In this article:
The Prep Hoops Circuit was in California for the opening weekend of play and talent was everywhere. Today Prep Hoops honors the top performers in The All Session 1 Team.
[player_tooltip player_id="931310" first="Chae" last="Haynes"] of Eagles Academy (WA). Haynes is a top 20 level junior talent in the state of Washington that made a big name for himself in the Hustle Region on weekend one. The low post anchor averaged nearly 17 points and nine boards a game last season for Life Christian Academy. Haynes led his team to an undefeated weekend while also grabbing the attention of many including Prep Hoops analyst Bruce Williams.
[player_tooltip player_id="787643" first="Joshua" last="Jefferson"] of West Coast Select (NV). The top ranked player in Nevada’s junior Class, [player_tooltip player_id="787643" first="Joshua" last="Jefferson"] is one of the more versatile forwards we will see all season on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Jefferson is a 6-foot-8 forward that mixes power and athleticism to produce at a high major level. So far Texas A&M, UNLV (previous staff), Pepperdine, and Ball State have offered scholarships and several Pac 12 programs are showing interest.
[player_tooltip player_id="859649" first="Aaron" last="Price"] of West Coast Select (NV). Nevada 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="859649" first="Aaron" last="Price"] also had a big weekend for West Coast Select. Price is a long 6-foot-7 forward that is quick off his feet to collect boards, finish explosively, and contest shots. He’s ranked sixth in the state for 2022s and runs extremely well in transition. Was a key part of West Coast Select going undefeated in the Hustle Region opener.
[player_tooltip player_id="986955" first="DJ" last="Thomas"] of West Coast Select (NV). Thomas is the top ranked freshman in the state of Nevada and when Prep Hoops analyst Bruce Williams was asked about Hustle Region standouts the name [player_tooltip player_id="986955" first="DJ" last="Thomas"] was one of the first to come up. When reviewing the Thomas film you see a player that gets out of his separation move as well as anybody. Outstanding change of direction and a lead guard that led his team to an undefeated weekend.
Nate Simon of Multi Level Basketball (CA). Simon was the most impressive local talent in the Hustle Region opener. His ability to attack the cup with a great first step and strong finishes complete with taking contact before the score is something that caught my eye looking at the film. When put in pick and roll situations Simon’s ability to attack hard or pull-up and hit made him one of the most dangerous players of the week. A 2023 from Fontana, California.
