Gathering a list of players and choosing which rank best fits the individual was a tall task, but we do our best to keep them updated every three months. Our recent update includes an increase in the number of players. Let us take a closer look at 10 newcomers to the rankings.

Alphabetically, here are 10 players that are new to the rankings:
Ayden Stainbrook Ayden Stainbrook 6'5" | SF North Border | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-4 F| North Border – 15.9 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 1.4 apg, 1.4 bpg, 1.2 spg, and 55.6 FG%. His game highs for scoring have been 26 and 27. Ayden has an excellent-looking jump shot from mid-range and from deep. He is great at attacking the basket. Ayden is a gifted athlete and an aggressive rebounder.
Carter Byron Carter Byron 6'7" | PF Grand Forks Red River | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-5 F| Grand Forks Red River – 5 ppg, 4.5 rpg, and 51 FG%. I like the way he moves and how active he is on the O-boards. Carter is effective with the screen-and-roll. He is a versatile and athletic finisher. He is the athletic big-man in the talented sophomore class for Red River.
Cruz Hernandez Cruz Hernandez 5'11" | SG Hankinson | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-10 G| Hankinson – He is a smart point guard. Cruz has serious handles and a quick first step. His shooting has improved over the year and will only get better. Cruz is a shifty and crafty guard that takes what the defense gives him.
Houston Davis Houston Davis 6'4" | SF Turtle Mountain | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-2 F| Turtle Mountain – 12.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, and 50 FG%. He is an excellent shooter from beyond the arc. Houston is also skilled with his back to the basket. He has a great work ethic. Houston plays with confidence. He is a nice athlete that can score from all three-levels. Houston will be a stud in the WDA for the next two years.
Kelson Keja Kelson Keja 5'7" | PG Four Winds/Minnewaukan | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-7 G| Four Winds/Minnewaukan – He is a quick, tough, and an energetic guard. Kelson does not back down from anyone. He is skilled with the ball in his hands. Kelson is effective in transition.
Reis Rowekamp Reis Rowekamp 6'4" | SG Grand Forks Red River | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-2 G| Grand Forks Red River – 7 ppg, 3 rpg, and 42 3FG%. Reis is a solid all-around player. He has a nice-looking jump shot. He is good at penetrating gaps. Reis is a fine athlete with speed and strength. He is a talented piece of the puzzle for the super-sophomore class at Red River.
Rylee Bakkegard Rylee Bakkegard 5'11" | CG Oak Grove | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-10 G| Oake Grove – He is a capable shooter from 3-point land. His biggest asset is his ability to get to the basket and finish around the rim. Rylee is not afraid of contact, which is rare in a young guard. He looks to be one of the next great up-and-coming guards for the Grovers.
Talan Batke Talan Batke 6'2" | SG Hazen | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-10 G| Hazen – He keeps defenders off balance with shot fakes and jab steps. Talan is a capable shooter from beyond the arc. He always seems to be under control. Talan is gifted at dribbling and finishing with both hands.
Trace King Trace King 5'11" | SG Linton/HMB | 2023 State ND (2023) |5-10 G| Linton/HMB – He is a legitimate threat from 3-point land. Trace can get hot from the corner. I like his floater and runner. He shoots with a soft touch. Trace has active hands on defense. He is a problematic defender in the full-court press for the Lions.
Trey Hatfield Trey Hatfield 6'5" | SG Oak Grove | 2023 State ND (2023) |6-1 G| Oak Grove – He can score from everywhere on the court, Trey is a “true scorer”. His shooting range extends out behind the college arc. Trey can get into the lane and finish around the basket in a variety of ways. Hatfield and Bakkegard will make up a dynamic-scoring backcourt for the Grovers.
