Kirkwood vs. Ritenour, 8 p.m. – The championship of the Warrior Classic at St. Charles West is on the line. Kirkwood is looking to repeat as tournament champions. The Pioneers have good size and experience, led by 6’5″ football standout Tahj Telfair. Ritenour likes to play at a fast pace and score lots of points. They are led by 6’4″ junior wing Kobe Smith. Prediction: Kirkwood.
Sikeston vs. Jackson, 8 p.m – These two teams will meet for the championship of the SEMO Conference Tournament. They are two of the best programs in the Southeast region. Sikeston, the No. 1 seed, defeated Charleston in the semifinals behind a combined 52 points from 2018 Fred Thatch and 2019 Kevin Jones. Jackson will counter with a well-balanced team with plenty of size, including 6’7″ 2018 Cameron Hester and 6’6″ 2018 Pete Lake. Prediction: Sikeston.
Park Hill vs. Liberty North, 8:30 p.m. – The championship of the Liberty North Tournament is one the line tonight. Host Liberty North has been very solid in the early going in going undefeated. Park Hill has a talented group capable of making a big run in Class 5 this season. they have size and a group of excellent athletes. Should be a good one. Prediction: Park Hill
CBC at DeSmet, 7 p.m. – These long-time rivals will meet in the Metro Catholic Conference opener. CBC is coming off a tough non-conference loss to St. Mary’s last night. The Cadets are led by 6’5″ 2018 Kale Catchings and 2017 guards Sam Orf and Josh Nunn. The Spartans finished second in the MBCA Hall of Fame Classic in Springfield last weekend. They are led by 6’7″ Bradley recruit Ryan Stipanovich. Prediction: DeSmet
Fordland at Hartville, 7 p.m. – Defending Class 2 state champion Hartville is off to an impressive start with four victories to begin the season. They won the Clever Tournament last weekend. 2017 guard Deric Jones is a good one. They will take on a Fordland team that is looking to make its mark after winning its first five games this season. They are led by 2017 forward Noel Abassi. Prediction: Hartville
Rock Bridge at Miller Career Academy, 7 p.m. – Rock Bridge is making the trip from Mid-Missouri to the city to take on Career Academy, one of the top teams in the Public High League. The Phoenix are led by 6’7″ senior Javonte Perkins, who is averaging more than 20 points a game. Rock Bridge is getting excellent play from a host of players, including 6’5″ sophomore wing Isiaih Mosley. Prediction: Rock Bridge.
Monroe City vs. Louisiana, Saturday, 8 p.m. – These two Clarence Cannon Conference teams are meeting in the championship game of the Louisiana Tournament. Louisiana got 24 points from standout 2019 guard Derek Richards in its 68-52 win over Palmyra in the semifinals. Louisiana is small and quick with 5’9″ 2019 guard Derek Richards leading the way. Monroe City is led by 6’2″ 2017 Logan Minter and 6’3″ 2017 Michael Speaks. Prediction: Monroe City
Hamilton vs. Lawson, 8 p.m. – These two undefeated teams will meet in the championship game of the KCI Tournament. Lawson is led by 2017 guard Cody Glenn, who is the leading scorer in Northwest Missouri at 28 points a game. Hamilton is coming off a Class 1 state championship in football. They have a prime-time athlete in 6’2″ 2017 Latroy Harper. Prediction: Lawson
