Westover HS Senior Guard D’Marco Dunn D’Marco Dunn 6'4" | CG Westover | 2021 State #75 Nation NC is definitely in the conversation for not only being one of the better shooters in the state but also one of the more efficient overall scorers in NC. Dunn has yet to lose a game with his high school squad and his shooting is one of the reasons why he’s headed to Chapel Hill.
Northwood Temple Senior Guard Brady Rankin Brady Rankin 6'2" | CG Northwood Temple | 2021 State NC is in his first season at NWT but he’s fitting in well and his shooting is a valuable asset to the team. He gets good lift on his shot, and has good overall shooting form which allows him to get his shot off without much issue.
His recruitment is out the way as he signed with Mars Hill College and his shooting ability it just one of the reasons why we feel Eastern Guilford Senior Kadyn Dawkins Kadyn Dawkins 5'9" | CG Eastern Guilford | 2021 State NC will make an early impact. He has very deep range on his shot, a quick release and is a confident/competitive player.
Clearly one of the better shooters in the state, Greensboro Day Junior Mike Zanoni is a sharp shooting Guard that doesn’t need much time or space to get his shot off. He has college SG size as he stands at 6’5 and D1 programs around the country are beginning to jump on board.
We got the chance to see Forbush HS Junior Peyton Compton during the Triad First 48 event and his shooting was one of the attributes that caught our attention rather quickly. Once he passes halfcourt he’s pretty much in range, he’s a player that smaller colleges that need a shooter will want to keep an eye on.
Richmond County Senior Dylan Lewis is a name that we didn’t know much about until we got the chance to see him at the 9 Dime Fall League. Lewis didn’t waste any time in getting going, knocking down 6 treys in their season opener vs Westover and showcasing his shooting ability throughout the remainder of the season.
