We look at more SG’s in 6A.
Here are some sleeper SG’s that will impact their team:
Brandon Lee Brandon Lee 6'0" | CG Corona Del Sol | 2022 State AZ (CDS)
-A tough combo guard should have a breakout year. He is tough, strong and skilled. He can lead a younger core to the playoffs.
Daylyn Martin Daylyn Martin 6'2" | PG Desert Vista | 2022 State AZ (Desert Vista)
-A big opportunity opened up with multiple transfers and Martin is one of the players that will benefit with extra playing time. He is a natural scorer and will get more shots up and can be very important to get them into the playoffs on a younger Thunder team.
Desi Burrage Desi Burrage 6'0" | CG Brophy Prep | 2021 State AZ (Brophy Prep)
-A sturdy framed guard can play on or off the ball. He can make plays for others and really shoot it off the catch. He will be one the defensive stoppers for the team.
Matt Haltorp SG 5’9 and Gavin Bray SG 5’10 2021’s (Desert Ridge)
-Two pure shooters will be tough to stop. Both are equipped with high IQ’s and know how to move without the ball to get open and relocate to an open spot. They both can handle it some but Bray is more of the specialist.
Luke Arington Luke Arington 6'3" | SG Shadow Ridge | 2022 State AZ (Shadow Ridge)
-Another sharp shooter could have a big leap up in production. He will most likely be their main scorer and will be asked to be a consistent contributor each night. He has the skill, range and touch to do it.
Aadem Isai Aadem Isai 6'1" | PG Valley Vista | 2023 State AZ (Valley Vista) (Pictured)
-Only a soph but he will have a lot on his shoulders to spread the court and find players as well. He will play some on the ball but also off of it next to their senior PG Dwight McKnight Dwight McKnight 6'1" | PG Valley Vista | 2021 State AZ . His IQ and shooting will shine.
Bryce Ford Bryce Ford 6'2" | CG Pinnacle | 2023 State AZ (Pinnacle)
-Another youngster who will be asked to step it up since multiple players transferred and some talented seniors graduated. It honestly wouldn’t shock me if he led the Pioneers in scoring with his pure shooting stroke from deep. The lefty has no fear and he will rattle them off this season.
