Class 5A – Region 5

<p>Class 5A - Region 5 will have no shortage of talent this season around the Midlands. Plenty of recruitable seniors still available for next season still. Read more about this region right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State. </p> <p><strong><em>Predictions: </em></strong></p> <p><strong>Dutch Fork HS (Irmo) - </strong>The Silver Foxes finished 2nd last season to Dorman HS in Class 5A. </p> <p><strong>River Bluff HS - </strong>The Gators have [player_tooltip player_id="927519" first="<strong>Myles" last="Jenkins"</strong>] and </p> <p><strong>Lexington HS - </strong>The Wildcats will rely on [player_tooltip player_id="986184" first="<strong>Cameron" last="Scott</strong>"] (2024) to lead the way.</p> <p><strong>Chapin HS - </strong>The Eagles will be right there this season and will rely on <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927541" first="A.J." last="Knight"]</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1042325" first="Lawson" last="Davis"]</strong> to lead the way<strong>. </strong></p> <p><strong>White Knoll HS - </strong>The Timberwolves will need to get some help for<strong> [player_tooltip player_id="840213" first="Jaylen" last="Ray"]</strong> to make some noise this season.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><em><strong>Players to Watch in the Region: </strong></em></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="927519" first="Myles" last="Jenkins"] (2021) - River Bluff HS (Prep Hoops Region Player of the Year) </strong></p> <p>Jenkins had a great summer with LMR Academy on the Grassroots Circuit. Jenkins is a physical guard who can over power players going to the basket. Reaves is a versatile player who plays out on the wing with good size. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1097533" first="Zavier" last="Measmer"] (2021) - Lexington HS </strong></p> <p>Measmer is a new name in the Palmetto State this coming season after coming over from the Hoop State.
