Below we will take a closer look at the South players who took part in the event and breakdown their performances and overall game.
Jerrell Colbert Jerrell Colbert 6'10" | C Houston | 2021 State #56 Nation TN , Houston (TN) – Colbert is a high energy four man who makes his impact felt the most on the defensive end and the offensive and defensive boards. The athletic 6-foot-9 forward is relentless in his pursuit of the basketball – whether it’s applying pressure to a ball handler, contesting a shot around the basket, skying high for a board, or chasing down a loose ball. The LSU-bound senior is great lob finisher due to his quickness off the floor and soft hands.
Jabari Smith Jabari Smith 6'10" | PF Sandy Creek | 2021 State #5 Nation GA , Sandy Creek (GA) – Smith is one of the most versatile players in all of high school basketball and he had that all-around skill set on full display in this event. The rangy 6-foot-9 forward continues to show that he’s molding into a true wing with his improved ball skills and perimeter shooting ability. Smith is also an adept finisher around the basket with either hand and guards multiple positions successfully at the high school level.
Daimion Collins Daimion Collins 6'8" | C Atlanta | 2021 State #21 Nation TX , Atlanta (TX) – Collins is the kind of player that if you don’t put a body on him when a shot goes up, he’s going to find a way to put back a miss with authority. The 6-foot-9 Kentucky-signee is an explosive pogo stick of an athlete whose quick-twitch leaping ability makes him one of the elite rebounders and rim protectors in the country. Collins, who boasts a long and wiry frame, uses those attributes well in transition when running the floor and gliding to the rim for a finish.
