2021 6-4 W [player_tooltip player_id="934249" first="Shone" last="Webb"] – Hart County

The Emmanuel College-commit was a monster in his matchup with Lanier. Spud poured in 26 points, 2 assists, 3 steals and 5 blocks while dogging one of Georgia’s best guards and holding him to nine points. Webb is an elite defender that uses length and quickness to swallow up opponents. Offensively, he’s a smooth slasher that can finish above the rim. He is one of the best two-way players in the entire state of Georgia.

2021 6-3 SG Will Peaks – Duluth

Coming off the bench, William Peaks is a super sixth man for Duluth. Peaks has nice length and has a knack for scoring. He gets hot in a hurry from deep and spaces the floor while also providing a stingy presence defensively on the perimeter. He buried 4 threes and finished with 14 points against St. Pius.

2021 6-6 F [player_tooltip player_id="1036814" first="Makai" last="Vassell"] – Lanier

[player_tooltip player_id="1036814" first="Makai" last="Vassell"]’s effort in the paint helped Lanier comeback against Hart County. The combo forward can provide production in a variety of areas but on Saturday it was in the paint where his bread was buttered. Vassell battled against the length of [player_tooltip player_id="934249" first="Shone" last="Webb"] and [player_tooltip player_id="820299" first="Tahj" last="Johnson"] and was able to put up 12 points and 7 rebounds with some tough finishes in traffic. He’s a player that is trending in the right direction early on in the season.

2021 6-9 C [player_tooltip player_id="869635" first="Corey" last="Thomas"] – Cherokee Bluff

With a broken leg now in his rear view, [player_tooltip player_id="869635" first="Corey" last="Thomas"] is back to being a dominant force in the paint. With 21 points, 16 rebounds and 6 blocks in a win over Mill Creek, Thomas is a name that D-I schools must track. Blessed with length and a soft touch, Thomas runs the floor exceptionally well and can even stretch defenses out to the three-point line.

2021 6-6 C Nicholas Verlander – Holy Innocents’

Every good team needs steady role players and glue guys. Nicholas Verlander is just that. Standing 6-foot-6, in Class A-Private to most schools he is considered a giant and on a team that is starved for size, Verlander is a crucial cog. He played well vs. White County. He scored up close when opportunities presented themselves, he rebounded and he blocked shots. With 10 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks, that’s the type of production Coach Mario Mays would welcome in a heartbeat on a night to night basis.
