Monday night Prep Hoops Illinois checked out Stealth Runs: Next Wave featuring the prospects that will be seniors this season. Here are our evaluations from the event in Stealth Runs Next Wave: 2021 Standouts!

[player_tooltip player_id="920966" first="Tyler" last="Van Eekeren"] (Benet)

His three point shot wasn’t falling, but the college coaches in the house got to see the intangibles that we like so much about this 6’5” small forward. He crashed the glass hard on both ends of the floor flying in from the perimeter on a regular basis. Offensively he was good at putting it on the deck for straight line scores, spin moves, and tough conversions. Got loose in transition several times. Sound passer including throwing several long outlets. Got after it defensively blocking a couple shots and getting deflections.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049508" first="Matas" last="Deksnys"] (Lockport)

This was the breakout star of the night in our eyes. The 6’6” long and thin left handed small forward has a feathery shot from beyond the arc. Drilled threes all night long. Quick and easy release shooting the ball. Also displayed some creativity off the bounce on several slick takes finishing with either hand. Defensively he has potential. Definitely needs to add strength, but has upside for sure!

[player_tooltip player_id="647237" first="Connor" last="Davis"] (Neuqua Valley)

Davis was one of the top prospects in the gym. The 6’5” wing brings three level scoring to the table which he showcased. Connected on a couple threes, stopped and popped from mid-range, and had several aggressive slashes for scores. Little bit of passing flair as well.

[player_tooltip player_id="921011" first="Dylan" last="Fuzak"] (Geneva)

Was looking forward to seeing this 6’9” post. He missed some bunnies, but you have to be intrigued with his combination of size, strength, skill, and mobility. Hit a couple jumpers including taking a defensive board himself in transition and then pulling up for a three. Quality area rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049580" first="Aidan" last="Murphy"] (Glenbard West)

Murphy had a strong performance. The 6’5” face up four man got off to a hot start from deep drilling an array of threes spotting up. Also had a clever take from the mid-post for a bucket. His floor spacing will intrigue small colleges.

[player_tooltip player_id="1049599" first="Tyler" last="Wildermuth"] (IC Prep)

Wildermuth impressed us earlier this summer and did so again. Smaller guard at only 5’10”, but he brings a competitive spirit and production to the table. Hit an array of threes as the scrimmages went on and also had several nifty layups early in the night.

Joshua LaBarera (Carmel)

Liked what this scrappy 6’3” guard brought to the table. Got on the glass for put backs and hit a corner three.

Thomas Asleson (Lyons)

This 6’2” shooting guard did a nice job of mixing it up with slashes for acrobatic layups, hit a few threes, and had a couple sweet dump off passes.

Nick Reid (Marmion Academy)

Reid can really shoot it! One of the better shooters at the event the 6’0” Marmion guard knocked down an array of threes and also threw a couple of long outlets for scores.

Nathan Valentine (Geneva)

The Geneva 5’11” guard is a sound distributor from the point guard spot with his ability to get others involved with his drive and kick passing. Also loves scoop shots in the lane when getting in the paint.

Peyton Ruth (Oswego East)

Lead guard from Oswego East that looked to be a pretty solid perimeter shooter off the catch and bounce. Flashed a decent passing feel as well.

CJ Boberek (Geneva)

Pass first point guard that pushes it in transition and has a feel for finding his teammates in the open floor and half court.

Kyle Baskin (Naperville Central)

Baskin is a crafty 6’3” guard that can hit an open three and take it through the defense on occasion.

[player_tooltip player_id="921052" first="Danny" last="Mulcare"] (Glenbard West)

The 6’6” forward has a good frame and solid mobility. He sealed around the hoop, converted a reverse layup, and hit a three.

Chase DiVito (Yorkville Christian)

This lefty 6’4” small forward did a nice job early in the night connecting on several threes and showing toughness on the defensive end.
