While I was not personally in attendance for this event, I watched most of the contests via the BallerTV streaming service. Below are my second set of 2022 standouts from the event.
Jaylin Stewart Jaylin Stewart 6'7" | SG Garfield | 2023 State #71 Nation WA , 2023, Seattle Rotary: The 6-foot-5 freshman guard has all the upside you look for in a young prospect. His strong frame, versatile and developed skill-set, to go along with his strong basketball bloodlines have earned him plenty of interest at the Division I level despite heading into just his sophomore year. The Garfield High product has a smooth perimeter shooting stroke, good ball skills when breaking down defenders on the perimeter and looks to have a good understanding of the game.
Jacob Cofie, 2024, Seattle Rotary: Cofie is another intriguing long-term prospect to watch in the Pacific Northwest. The athletic and rangy 6-foot-6 freshman has great early instincts as a defender and defensive rebounder. Offensively, Cofie is mobile, coordinated and has a good understanding of how to run a pick-and-roll set.
Dedan Thomas, Jr., 2024, West Coast Select: Thomas carries himself and plays like a savvy veteran though he’s just now entering his first season of high school hoops. The crafty lefty has impressive shot creating and making abilities off the bounce, whether it’s a pull back three-pointer or a floater or up-and-under layup around the basket. The 6-foot lefty looks to be an immediate impact guy at Liberty High in Las Vegas this season.
Mason Williams Mason Williams 6'4" | PG O'Dea | 2023 State WA , 2023, Seattle Rotary: Williams has a really polished point guard skill set. The 5-foot-10 sophomore has great playmaking feel for himself and others, can knock down the open catch-and-shoot three pointer with regularity and makes up for his current lack of size and strength with an impressive floater package. Williams, who played junior varsity at Seattle O’Dea as a freshman, is a 2023 prospect to keep close tabs on.
