The 17U Top Defenders

<p>What players caught my eye with their defense when I watched them play this 17u season?  Here is my list. </p> <p>D1 Minnesota - <strong>Tamin Lipsey</strong> (on ball lock down)</p> <p>D1 Minnesota Prospects - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="774873" first="Cole" last="Tiran"]</strong> (consistent in position)</p> <p>Gilleylen Elite - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="957152" first="D’Sean" last="Larkins"]</strong> (defended a few positions)</p> <p>Grassroots Sizzle - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="532569" first="Andre" last="Gray"]</strong> (one of the most intimidating guard defenders out there)</p> <p>Howard Pulley - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="958648" first="Hassan" last="Kamara"]</strong> (his position and on-ball defense was outstanding every time)</p> <p>Minnesota Comets - <strong>Dom Aguila</strong>r (can defend three different spots)</p> <p>MN Crossfire Jorgenson - <strong>Evan Hoy</strong> (6’7 held his spot well)</p> <p>MN Crossfire Stone - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="774747" first="Reagan" last="Koch"]</strong> (always in position, always harassing)</p> <p>MN Fury - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="774744" first="Eddie" last="Beeninga"]</strong> (so disruptive, and a few times his defensive plays were clutch)</p> <p>MN Heat - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="532587" first="Andrew" last="Morgan"]</strong> (not just the blocks but the low post D was excellent)</p> <p>MN Heat PB&amp;J - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="774876" first="Laron" last="Thomas"]</strong> (played with so much energy)</p> <p>MN Matrix - <strong>Kortland Johnsen</strong> (has the potential to be a strong defender for AV)</p> <p>Mn Rise - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="567067" first="Caden" last="Grinde"]</strong> (disruptive so many plays on the wing)</p> <p>MN Select Ohnstad - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="774738" first="Jaelen" last="Treml"]</strong> (loves the assignment of a top guy)</p> <p>MN Select Robinson - <strong>Mick Wherley</strong> (Shakopee big was so active when I watched)</p> <p>Playmakers Showcase - <strong>Zaa Buffalo</strong> (Brought constant energy)</p> <p>WOTN - <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="957223" first="Cooper" last="Laufenburger"]</strong> (quick hands, passing lane disruptor)</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>My Top Three for Summer Defensive MVP?</p> <p>I would go with Kamara, Lipsey, and Treml</p>
