One Player To Watch: Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN
Cooper Farrall Cooper Farrall 6'5" | SF Culver Academy | 2023 State IN is a forward prospect with good size and an endless amount of aggressiveness. He has speed and quickness, and he uses his athleticism to consistently crash the boards. He is the type of player that wants to be involved in every single play on the court, and his frame and build allow him to do just that. He makes quite a few jump shots, but he has a very slow release. I would love to see if he could speed that up a little bit and maybe gain a little bit more consistency with his jumper. All in all, he is a must-watch prospect this summer, and if he grows a couple more inches, his upside is tremendous.
One Player We Need To See More: Ty Schumacher
Ty Schumacher is a tough guard whose shot is just a little inconsistent at the moment. He struggled at times during his freshman season at North Judson. However, he does have good form and a good release on his shot, so I believe it is just a matter of time for him to start shooting it better. In terms of ball-handling, he does pretty well. He picks his spaces on drives really well, and he just has a knack for finding the open space. We need to see if he can gain a little more strength to help him finish around the rim and see if he can start knocking down shots. If he can do those two things, he is going to be an interesting prospect to watch in the coming years.
One Player That Should Surprise: A.J. Lux A.J. Lux 6'3" | SG Crown Point | 2023 State IN
A.J. Lux A.J. Lux 6'3" | SG Crown Point | 2023 State IN has a tremendous feel for the game on the court. He has an incredibly high basketball IQ, and he always seems to find the open player on the court. His driving ability is solid right now, and he has shown that he can finish through contact. I wouldn’t be surprised if he grew some more and got a little bit more length, and if these happen, he will be a prospect to watch down the road. Lux could definitely surprise a lot of teams this summer if he is able to capitalize on his finishing ability that improved quite a bit over the course of the high school season.
