Until then, let’s take a look at some of the best players in the 2021 class.
Here are the players ranked 21-30 in the 2021 class:
21.Alex Huber
Huber is one of the best players in Class B and is coming off a junior year in which he averaged nearly 20 points and seven rebounds for an EKM team that won the Region 3 title. At 6-foot-4, Huber has the inside-outside scoring ability to give teams fits, plus the athleticism to guard up or down a lineup.
22.Keith Levin
Levin is one of the best two-way bigs in the WDA and showed a great deal of progression from the start of his junior year to the end. He’s got great length and defends and rebounds at a high level. And offensively, he’s a strong finisher who excels in low-maintenance fashion.
23.Stevan Garza
Garza enjoyed a breakout junior season, averaging better than 19 points, seven rebounds and four assists for Grafton and has a chance to be an all-state guy in his senior year. He’s an excellent 3-point shooter with deep range and the ability to create his own shot plus make plays for his teammates. He’s strong going to the rim and has a smoothness to his game.
24.Joshua Dixon
Dixon is an active, athletic combo forward who can create his own shot and finish at a high rate from the mid-range and on the interior. He’s an efficient scorer who consistently produces at a high level. He’s a solid man and help defender who can defend smaller guys on the perimeter along with the bigs in the paint.
25.Evan Ulrich
Ulrich is one of the top pure bigs in the state, possessing the size, strength and skill to dominate games from the post. He’s got good footwork and mobility plus can finish at a high rate around the rim and his size and length allow him to defend the rim.
26.Jacob Hilgemann
Hilgemann is a cerebral guard who makes plays and takes care of the ball. He’s got the size and strength to bully smaller guards and he’s excellent as a cutter off the ball. He didn’t score as much as he’s capable during his junior year, taking a backseat to some talented shot-maker, but he’s got it in him to put up solid scoring totals in addition to a sound overall floor game.
27.Jayce Lowman
Lowman is one of the top wings in Class A and does a little bit of everything plus provides excellent 3-point shooting. He’s not real big, but he’s long and uses it to his advantage especially defensively. He’s got more playmaking skills than he showed in his junior year at Mandan too.
28.Max Tschosik
Tschosik is a classic floor general who can really shoot it from the perimeter. He’s a competitive defender who does a great job putting pressure on the ball and the passing lanes. He sets the table well for his teammates and while he might not put up huge numbers, he’s a positive presence on both ends of the floor.
29.Mason Gravseth
Gravseth is one of the top forwards in the EDC and a potential double-double every night. He’s not the biggest guy up front, but he makes up for his lack of height with great energy, toughness and athleticism. He’s got good footwork and touch inside, a knack for rebounding out of his area and the ability to defend bigger and smaller guys.
30.Garrett Meehl
Meehl is one of the top returning guards in Class B and was a catalyst for an Oakes team that won 16 games a year ago and should be a contender in Region 3. The 5-foot-11 point guard averaged 17 points, five rebounds and nearly five assists. He’s a decent 3-point shooter, gets to the paint regularly and makes the game easier for his teammates.
