Prep Hoops-The Expo Top Performers (Part 1)

After covering Team 4, earlier this week, I am pivoting to posting about the rest of the players that stood out, last Sunday, at The Champion Center.

Hauser was accidently left off of my Team 4 standouts article but that was human error and not because of how he played! With that being said, Hauser is an impressive player showing the type of game that makes his teammates better. Unselfish guard, who always seemed to make the correct read whether that was blowing by his defender, drawing the defense and dishing to an open teammate, or making accurate post-entry passes that resulted in many easy bunnies. Defensively he slides his feet well and has good timing shooting in for steals and looks to have a huge senior season ahead of him!

Team 5's Loiselle-Christianson looked like a man amongst boys, at times, on Sunday, at The Expo. Big, strong, and physical, the 6-6 McDonnell Central Catholic product was one of the better finishers, around the hoop, dishing out physicality with the quickness to blow by smaller defenders and hops to finish above the rim. On the glass, Loiselle-Christianson was virtually unmovable and showed why he averaged 7 boards per game last winter for the Macks.

One of the more impressive all-around players, Wallace turned heads at The Expo last Sunday. 6-8 with a good combination of size, speed, and agility, Wallace ran point for Team 2 and was a problem all afternoon. Shifty with the ball, in his hands, Wallace had no problem blowing by his defender and getting to the rim, at-will, showing nice touch around the basket and the speed to finish off several fast breaks with emphatic dunks.

Cyra, shot 40% from distance last season, for the Tigers, and it is easy to see why after watching him play at The Expo on Sunday. Showing seemingly unlimited range, Cyra was deadly from 20-26 feet, from all over the perimeter. One of the event's top shooters looks even better than he did last season when he averaged 8.9 points per game as a sophomore.
