High School Spotlight: Barr-Reeve Vikings

The High School Spotlight Series is back and we are excited to feature multiple teams throughout the state once again! The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Barr-Reeve Vikings.

Quick Hitters

Won Class 1A State last season.

Head Coach Heath Howington starts his 2nd year as head coach. Barr-Reeve returns all of its top production and will once again be led by senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='3045017' first='Kierson' last='Lengacher']. The 6'1" guard brings back averages of 14.0 points and 2.4 assists per game from last season, along with some high-level floor-spacing skills. He is a very unselfish player who makes a lot of good decisions on the floor. He will lead the Vikings to a lot of wins once again as a senior.

Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber']

A lot of players for Barr-Reeve could be listed in this spot as a potential breakout player, but the guy we are going with is their second-leading returning scorer, junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='3148411' first='Jaylon' last='Graber']. Graber brings back 10.8 points and 4.0 assists per game from last season. He is a true Swiss Army knife who can do a lot of things on the floor and just flat-out produce. A super versatile player on both ends of the floor.

Other Key Roster Members

Eli Ash

[player_tooltip player_id='3142215' first='Brody' last='Stoll']

Carson Yoder

Miller Thompson

[player_tooltip player_id='2797665' first='Braxton' last='Neidigh']

[player_tooltip player_id='3142216' first='Hudson' last='Neidigh']

Maddox Wagner

[player_tooltip player_id='3527814' first='Josh' last='Miller']

Wrigley Wirtz
