Saturday, October 17th I attended the 1st annual Dillon Brooks Invitational at Inspire Courts in Gilbert, AZ. Many AIA teams were in the building plus some local top prep teams mixed in with Grind Session teams from out of town. I ended up watching nearly 25 teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='2574815' first='Garrison' last='Bambolo'] Willow Canyon (Pictured)

An athletic combo forward keeps polishing up his game. His feel, passing skills, athleticism and shooting are improving and he is due for a big season. He shoots the three, he can get to the basket with a dribble drive, throw it down above the rim, he is a sneaky good passer and rebounds well in his area.

[player_tooltip player_id='1986797' first='Jase' last='Benjamin'] San Tan Charter

A bigger defensive guard is tough and physical. The Small School guard is finally in tip-top shape and looking like his old self. He shoots the three, handles the ball well to create his own offense and plays and defends multiple positions. What stands out, despite his twitchy bounce and power is his competitiveness on defense with rebounding and blocking shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='2266385' first='Braylen' last='Gray'] Willow Canyon

A scoring guard who is getting more athletic and he is showing what he can do now with some seniors graduating and transferring. He will get to the basket and score thru the contact, dunk it, hit the three off the catch and is tough on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2136339' first='Adryan' last='Miller'] Gilbert

A transfer from Minnesota keeps showing what he brings to the court. He is a true three level scorer with his inside and out play. He will score with threes off the catch, polished mid-range pull-ups, dunks on the break, hook shots and offensive rebound put backs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2337275' first='Thomas' last='Moritz'] Mesa

A face-up forward who can play multiple positions for one of the top 6A teams in the AIA. He comes in and can play the wing position or up front to the bigger forward. He can bang inside with bigger players and score with layups and put backs and then hit the three with a nice stroke.

[player_tooltip player_id='3672710' first='Terrence' last='Richardson'] San Tan Charter

The Wyoming commit is a hyper athletic power forward. He will run the floor, protect the paint and gobbles up rebounds. He will score it with offensive rebound put backs, high level dunks, he will alter or block shots and occasionally step out and shoot the three or from mid-range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2957502' first='Justice' last='Wilson'] Dysart

A long and lean wing forward just keeps showing you a glimpse of what he can be in the future. He has decent size for position and seems to keep growing, he has a long wingspan and leaps up quickly to get on the glass or plays the passing lanes. He will shoot the three and score on put backs.
