There isn't much doubt about who the most dominant player in 1A basketball will be this winter. Severson, who holds 40+ Power 5 football offers, put up 24.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.0 steals on 63-36-75 shooting splits last season. He's a big, physical, highly athletic forward who can absolutely dominate games on both ends of the floor on a nightly basis.

Blum, who has committed to play receiver at Penn State, is one of the best athletes in the state, regardless of class. He put up 20.2 points, 9.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists, and 3.0 steals last season for the Tigers, while being bullet point #1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 on opposing scouting reports. Long, bouncy, and talented, he'll be looking to lead Woodbine back to the state tournament for a fourth straight season.

Captain Clutch, Gonner routinely made huge shots for the Defenders last season en route to their third consecutive runner-up finish in 1A. The lefty guard didn't put up the lofty numbers that several other players on this watch list did (11.2 points, 4.6 assists, 50.2 FG%), but that's largely because of how deep, balanced, and talented Marquette was last season (and will be again this winter). His impact goes well beyond his solid numbers.
