2027 Fall Rankings Update: Under the Radar Forwards

This class has a plethora of serviceable forwards at the top of the class. But there are just as many outside of the top 25. Here are some lesser known names who fans and college coaches should track:    Not the biggest or bounciest forward, Arndt is a savvy contributor on the glass. He manages to keep the ball in-bounds after altering shots and he gets up second-chance points off of someone else's miss. Ardnt is even more comfortable when he's on the perimeter. With the ball in his hands, his ability to see over the defense as a passer and occasionally stretch the floor as a shooter raises the floor for whatever team he's on.     A traditional forward with sound fundamentals, Bell is due for a big senior season. He gets a lot done on offense just by using his footwork. On designed post touches and offensive boards, Bell firmly anchors his foot into the ground and pivots in search of angles to finish around the basket. A low maintenance prospect, he remains engaged as a rim protector, whether he's in double figures or if he doesn't score at all.     Hassan is a rugged, blue-collar prospect who should turn heads across the state as a senior. Coming over from Christiana, he isn't afraid of contact. Rather, Hassan is an enforcer at the rim with how he alters shots, deters even more, and closeouts defensive possessions on the boards. He's still putting it together offensively, but the touch he shows on second-chance points is also visible when he occasionally shoots off the catch from three.     Surrounded by guards, Hicks will be the Bucs' secret weapon and unsung hero. His solid combination of height, length and fluidity enable him to fly around on defensive rotations and switch on to different players. And although he isn't a focal point on offense, Hicks has to be taken seriously because he's willing and able to space the floor from deep. But even when the shots aren't falling, he's bound to rack up deflections, steals, and stocks.     After not being in the rotation as a junior and getting into the mix this summer, Merced is becoming a fixture in Sallies' starting lineup. He has the upside to eventually shoot the three at a high clip. But in the meantime, he's comfortable flashing into open space inside the paint and grabbing rebounds. And in the open floor, Merced has the burst and vertical pop to finish above the rim.
