What 2027 Prospects Shined at Pure Sweat Fall Camp?

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your subscription***</em><br><br>Every fall for the last decade I have traveled down to Carterville to check out the top prospects in southern Illinois in a showcase event.&nbsp; This year was no different!&nbsp; We caught some of the best prospects in the 618 and break them down here!&nbsp; In this examination of the event PHI dives into the 2027 prospects from the event.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2125643' first='Jaxson' last='Hancock'] (Centralia – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hancock is a vet of these events as he has been coming to them for years.&nbsp; The heady playmaking point guard from Centralia is at his best making those around him better.&nbsp; That is exactly what he did in this setting with his vision and feel making plays in the half court and transition.&nbsp; He is a pesky defender too as he got his hands on several passes taking them the other way.&nbsp; More juice than given credit being able to get by guys.&nbsp; Plus shooter that knocked them in from both three and mid-range stop and pop.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Baptiste Denis (Salem – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'6” forward from Belgium is a traditional foreign exchange student that happens to be a pretty good hooper as well.&nbsp; It was great to see him for the first time in person after hearing some buzz about him.&nbsp; Legit size, length, and good athleticism.&nbsp; The passing stood out especially early in the workout.&nbsp; Made the extra pass on a consistent basis.&nbsp; Ran the floor with fluidity, got on the offensive glass for dunks, and contested some shots on the perimeter.&nbsp; Showed some flashes with the handle and has a clean looking shot with solid elevation.&nbsp; Should be a very good player this year.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2385164' first='Cash' last='Brooks'] (Murphysboro – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brooks is always a favorite to check out!&nbsp; The Murphysboro combo guard can flat out shoot the rock with such a pure shooting stroke.&nbsp; In this setting we saw some more of the ability to play both on and off the ball while being a creator and still finding his shot.&nbsp; Mixed in some floaters.&nbsp; Should be the go to guy for Murphysboro this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3440245' first='Aiden' last='Carter'] (Pinckneyville – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Carter was letting them fly and they were going in at a high rate!&nbsp; Came away very impressed with what the Pinckneyville scoring guard brought to the table.&nbsp; Can play on the ball pushing in the open floor, but it was his long distance shooting that caught our attention in the drills into the games.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3632069' first='Owen' last='Gruen'] (Fairfield – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Gruen was excellent on Monday night!&nbsp; The Mules small forward has solid size and a good frame.&nbsp; Plus shooter from beyond the arc that poured them in all night long.&nbsp; More than just that as he was effective cutting off the ball for buckets and ran the floor hard in transition for scores beating opponents down the floor.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3572102' first='Blake' last='Blue'] (Marion – 2027)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>First time seeing Blue in almost a year.&nbsp; The 6'6” face up four man has a broad shoulders and a great frame.&nbsp; Solid athlete who showcased mobility snatching rebounds and defending in space.&nbsp; Can also knock down a spot up three pointer.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
