(Plesant Lee): A 6'0" forward who is built like an offensive tackle, but he was a powerhouse in the paint throughout the weekend. He could not be stopped. He dominated the action in the paint with his physical paint and footwork. He has a soft shooting touch around the basket. He also was a nifty passer as he faced several double teams. He could also handle the ball when needed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Malachi Moore (Logan Rogersville): A 6'3" forward from the SWMO area who has good size and could operate in the paint and on the perimeter. He had a quick reaction to block 3-pointers and he rebounded the ball well. His skill set is also emerging as he can handle the ball. He is the younger brother of Log-Rog standouts Marcus and Titus. He has a big upside as he continues to get bigger and develop his skills.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Dace Edwards (Christ Lutheran): A 6'1" guard who was one of the top perimeter shooters that we watched during the weekend. In the semifinals of bracket play, he went on a heater with seven 3-pointers. He also used his thick body to power his way into the lane and back down smaller guards into the post.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kasen Jones (Pioneer Trail Middle): A 6'1" point guard from Olathe (KS) who was one of the most dynamic players at the event. He got the ball and he was in full attack mode with his speed and strength. He scored on several coast to coast drives, including one that won a game at the buzzer. He was also a high energy player on defensive end with his activity.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Taylen Sjolander (Sikeston Junior High): A 5'11" guard from the SEMO area who is a high energy player with good athleticism. He was constantly attacking the basket and did a good job of drawing contact and scoring in the paint. He could also hit the Corner 3-pointer consistently. He was excellent in the transition game. He also had a quick second jump on the offensive boards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Connor Garrett (St Clair Junior High): A 5'5" combo guard who came off the bench to provide instant offense in every game he played. He is an excellent shot maker who knocked down multiple 3-pointers. He moved without the ball well and he also made shots in the transition game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kingston Bowman (Sarcoxie): A 5'9" guard from the SWMO area who did a nice job shooting the basketball coming off the bench. His 3-point shooting was also timely as he was making shots that helped change the momentum of a game. He is a solid ball handler who distributed the basketball well.
