Forwards of Note at The Lou Next Top 100 Camp

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of standout forwards who caught our eye at last weekend's Lou Next Top 100 Camp, which was held at the Center of St. Louis Sports.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>J.P. Clifford: A 6'3" forward from Ladue Middle School who has a versatile skill set to go along with one of the strongest motors that we watched during the weekend. He was attacking downhill on the drive at every opportunity and he also could score very well in the low post. He was knocking down open 3-pointers and locating open teammates with his passing ability.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3586906' first='Dirk' last='Johnson']: A 6'4" forward from Festus who is a talented southpaw with a versatile skill set. He was bringing the ball up quite a bit and he did a nice job locating teammates with his excellent court vision. He was strong and physical in the low post as he could wheel and deal for buckets. He was also passing out of the double team very well. He was also dialing it up from 3-point range.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kamarion Thomas: A 6'6" forward from Springfield (IL) who is very athletic and who played with excellent activity. He did a nice job facing the basket and putting the ball on the floor on the drive. He was rebounding the ball at a high level and blocking shots. He ran the court with ease as he got multiple buckets on impressive rim-runs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Matthew Clifford: A 6'3" forward from Ladue Middle School who is very skilled with some excellent fundamentals. The young lefty can handle the ball and facilitate offense with his passing. He screens well and can score on the short roll. He can knock down short jumpers and score in the low post. He was constantly moving on offense which kept the floor spaced.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Charles Marriott: A 6'4" forward from the SEMO area who has size, length and a nice offensive skill set on the perimeter. He can stretch the floor with his ability to shoot it from 3-point range. He can also handle the ball and create his own shot off the dribble with the right matchup. He is also very fluid with his ability to run the court.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3586696' first='Cooper' last='Newman']: A 6'3" forward from MICDS who was the only Class of 2032 player to participate in the camp. He has a solid body and he was very good fundamentals. He passes the ball very well and he makes the right reads. He battled hard against bigger and more physical players and he finished well around the basket.
