The Florida Expo Windex Men

This past Sunday a number of junior and senior prospects came together to compete at the Prep Hoops Expo at Seminole Sports Academy in Longwood, FL. A lot of great basketball was played, and a number of prospects saw their stock rise with their performances. Let's now take a closer look at some of the players who made an impact with their rebounding, and were a force on the boards and around the rim throughout the event. Snider is a strong, physical prospect who gives it 100% every time he steps on the floor. He is a smart player who positions himself well on the floor, and uses that to his advantage when crashing the boards. He moves very well without the ball, and does a great job spacing the floor. The 6'1" CG is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the court, and also does a very good job keeping his eyes up and finding the open man. This rising senior impressed me a lot throughout the event. Reyes was having his way at times this past Sunday, as he was scoring from anywhere on the court and was an absolute beast on the boards throughout the day. He is a vocal prospect when he's on the floor, and is always talking with his teammates keeping everyone up beat and in the game. He might not be the biggest guy on the floor but he has great strength and plays with a lot of heart, allowing him to out workout some of his opponents. Ortiz did an excellent job on both ends of the court this past Sunday, and was always hustling all over the floor. He has some sneaky bounce and is quick off the floor, allowing him to be a real asset on the boards, even against bigger opponents. He does a great job tracking the ball and timing his jump, making him a solid rebounder both offensively and defensively. Ortiz is a vocal player and did a great job moving without the ball, creating space and freeing himself up. Blevins is a versatile big man who has the ability to stretch the floor with his efficient shot from behind the arc. He is smart player who has great court vision, and does an excellent job as a passer from the post position. He did a tremendous job on the boards, both offensively and defensively, and also did a great job following his shot for a couple rebounds of his own. Blevins has a soft touch from the mid-range, and can score both inside and out. An athletic prospect with great length, Murray, was very effective in the paint this past weekend. He has great size and length and did a tremendous job rebounding the ball on both ends of the floor. He was efficient with his post moves down low, and has the ability to finish with either hand around the basket. He was aggressive attacking the hoop, but also showcased a nice soft touch from outside. Murray has a wide wingspan and is capable of altering and blocking shots all around the paint.
