The class of 2027 is up next as the leading seniors to take charge this upcoming scholastic season for their respective teams. Several prospects are on track to have breakout senior seasons and make their way onto college radars if they have not already. There's no better way to graduate from your high school career than to make a name for yourself senior year and that's exactly what these prospects will be looking to do. Here are some 2027 seniors who I think are poised to have big scholastic seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='3661271' first='Cash' last='Tresler'] is a 6'10 post player for Clear Falls who can either work against opposing bigs in the paint or score in isolation against single man coverage. He rebounds very well, even against opponents his own height and his IQ/decision making in transition allows him to make crisp, long passes to open teammates downcourt. He knows how to position himself and box out for second chance rebounds and putbacks. Cash looks to have a big scholastic year ahead with Clear Falls after having a productive summer running with [program_tooltip program_id='2078792' first='RL9' last=''].

Steven Mcleod stretches the floor efficiently from deep range and he forces defenses to close out on him due to smooth mechanics on his shot. He attacks other bigs inside with a variety of post moves and he blocks shots at the rim due to quick reaction time and his reach. He is effective in the pick and roll game, both going to the basket and off the face-up jumper. I got to watch Steven this summer at Peach Jam with [program_tooltip program_id='2371255' first='AB' last='Elite'], and he was impressive in all stat categories, making his case for one of the best players in Texas in the 2027 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='2252899' first='Sun' last='Jinkal'] continues to be on my list of standout guards that have been very productive over the last few years. He spaces the floor as a perimeter threat as well as playmaking with good pace and ball control as a lead point guard. He thrives scoring from the midrange and three point land, but he can get to the basket with a quick first step and size up out of the triple threat. Two-way impact is felt as he plays passing lanes with great efficiency and notching steals to set up easy opportunities for fastbreak buckets. His decision making is high level as he always knows where his teammates are on the floor and makes timely passes for easy looks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2888958' first='[player_tooltip player_id='2854586' first='Austin' last='']' last='Stewart'] is a physical big who finds himself often in position to dominate the post and comes away with quick and effective buckets under the basket. Stewart has underrated speed on fastbreaks and fills his lane correctly; allowing him to draw contact driving to the rim and has a steady jumper he can use to beat opponents. Recently, I watched him at Doug's Fall Shootout, and he had several posters over mismatch opponents who tried to get in the way of him scoring an easy two points. He blocks shots off the backboard and limits opponents chances at scoring.

Daniel Green is a guard for Shadow Creek who is a dual threat hooper due to his playmaking and scoring ability. He creates opportunities for himself and teammates in the halfcourt and he can pull up off the dribble with a smooth jumper, having a quick release. His speed is a blur and fits right along with his decision making in transition, handling the ball well against full court pressure and making the correct reads on offense. Green knows how to either push the tempo of the offense or maintain a slow, controlled pace and he does not settle for bad shots. After already amassing a few offers over the summer, look for Daniel to make his way onto more collegiate radars soon!

A shooter from deep range who excels at getting open around the three-point line, Carlson has had a terrific summer so far and only continues to impress every event he participates in. The last time I got to watch him was Rucker on Wood and he showcased to the gym how efficient his three level scoring is, both off the dribble and the catch/shoot. He will be a big part of Magnolia's offense this upcoming year with the way he moves off the ball and creates shots.
