Southern AZ Showcase Undiscovered Guards Pt. 1

The boys side featured 100 of the top boys prospects from across Southern Arizona. Below are my top "Breakout" guards from the event. Just by simply playing the right way and playing with passion. He has a quick handle and feet. Adams knows how to create space and hit the jumper. Makes the hustle plays.&nbsp;Quick step, will attack the lane and score the bucket through contact. Scored 25+ in his first game. A scrappy undersized guard who consistently found ways to be impactful. Plays with high energy EVERY possession. Shot extremely well from the perimeter. Had one of the top scoring performances of the day. Didn't get rattled by his opponent's defensive pressure. He broke the press and handled the double teams with ease. A passer who always found his target. He showed he can hit the three from well beyond the perimeter and knock it down consistently. He is quick to pull it off the dribble. Plays with great intensity. A strong defender who came up with many steals and had a burst of speed to quickly score them at the other end. Very strong fundamentals, tremendous work ethic and plays for the next play. A scorer who takes the right shots. One thing that stood out was he doesn't force the bad one. Very high percentage mid range off the dribble. A “glue guy” who does what the team needs. Hustles and impacts the game at a high level on both sides of the ball. Advances the ball with poise and didn't get pressured into making bad passes/turnovers. Has a skilled dribble and good burst of speed that helps him get by his opponents as he attacks the lane and makes the layup usually drawing the foul as he does. Shot from the perimeter well and pulled his mid-range off the dribble effectively. Gives his team everything he has every possession. Has very good shot blocking ability and will chase down in transition and block it off the glass. Doesn't back down from anyone. Showed great athleticism. Attacks the basket with confidence and is a very effective three level scorer. Impacts the game at a high level on both sided of the ball. One of the more overlooked prospects in the 2028 class who can flat out play.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
