Rucker On Wood Freshmen That You Will Hear More Of Going Forward

The RCS Sports Rucker On Wood event, held in Houston, is a premier event where high school basketball prospects from various graduation classes compete against each other. During my evaluation of the freshman players, I identified some promising prospects who I believe will be key players in the coming years. Here are five standout prospects from the Rucker On Wood event:    [player_tooltip player_id='3727822' first='Rhylan' last='Harmon'] is a freshman prospect attending Clear Brook High School that has been under my scouting radar since last December at the MADE Hoops winter circuit. During the Rucker On Wood event, he showcased his natural scoring prowess, driving to the basket and creating angles to shoot around the rim. Offensively, he's a capable shooter who can score in bunches if the opposing defense gives him enough space to get his shots off. Defensively, his wingspan provides him with the ability to disrupt shots and pick off passes in passing lanes.     [player_tooltip player_id='3759255' first='Nicolas' last='Dahik'] is a freshman prospect I was able to scout earlier this year at an exposure camp in January. During the Rucker On Wood event, he played to his strengths making him a standout for me. Nicolas showed his presence in the interior making tough layups around the basket off his downhill ability. After defensive stops Nicolas took the ball coast to coast showing his ability to maintain his dribble and converting them into finishes. Nicolas also has the capability to stretch the floor with his perimeter shooting ability as well.     [player_tooltip player_id='3759257' first='Ryan' last='Kim'] is a freshman from Katy Jordan High School that participated in the Rucker On Wood event this past weekend. I've been following Ryan's game since the MADE Hoops winter circuit last December. Since then, I've noticed that he's been working on his physical conditioning and has grown taller. During the Rucker On Wood, he showcased his attacking ability by driving downhill with a quick first step. He also demonstrated his shooting ability by making shots from the mid-range and converting opportunities off the catch. I was particularly impressed with his aggressiveness during my evaluation of his game. With his skill set and frame coming into high school, Ryan has a bright future ahead of him.     [player_tooltip player_id='3759260' first='Mason' last='Dews'] was by far one of the smartest players on the court at the Rucker On Wood. He is a freshman that just plays the right way within the offensive flow, making sure he spaces the floor the right way, not being stagnant off the ball. In many offensive possessions, he moves without the ball, cutting constantly as he found holes within opposing defenses to get his points in the paint. When shooting the ball, he is capable of making shots off the catch from the perimeter. Mason was all over the place defensively, flying in rotations to disrupt the opposing offense.     [player_tooltip player_id='3759261' first='Caleb' last='Handsborough'] is a freshman at Grand Oaks High School that has been under my scouting radar since the MADE Hoops winter circuit last December. During the Rucker On Wood event, he showcased his strengths, particularly his ability to convert in the paint with multiple layups. Additionally, he demonstrated excellent floor presence when his team transitioned from defense to offense, making him an easy target for his teammates. I'm eagerly anticipating observing his potential and development throughout his high school years.
