Pro West Exposure Camp: Class of 2027 First Five

The Pro West Camp was held September 5-6 at the Fieldhouse in Walnut Creek CA. ProWest is a growing annual event with more than 200 NorCal Prospects attending. There was a top 60, 40, and 20 All Star Game featuring selected prospects who played well over the two day event.    The long forward has expanded his overall offensive production. He's making moves from different spots, post up, face up. He was effective scoring in the post, working the mid post using his dribble or passing it out, he hit short jumpers, while showing he has the range to hit 3ptrs. He's improved his handles in transition and along the perimeter. He's looking to join the double, double club the season in scoring and rebounding.     He's sneaky athletic going high to throw down dunks at 5'10. He's coming into his own as a point guard who can do multiple things on the court. He picked up the MOP in the Top 20 Game with his guard play. 10pts, 7 assists. His improving handles, vision, and willingness to facilitate was on display. He's got the tools to create his own shot opportunities.     He's one of our underrated guards in the NorCal 2027 Class. He's fast, with quick twitch movements to freeze and slip past defenders to finish with scoops, floaters, and paint jumpers. He can run the point with quality handles, vision, and ball movement. He takes and makes shots at a good percentage within the flow. He dropped multiple catch and shoot 3's off ball.     He's one of NorCal's premiere scoring guards. He's put in the work to sharpen his overall guard skills, ball handling, passing. Lets be clear Rhymes is a high flyer that can generate buckets regularly at this level. He has the moves to attack and convert often. He'll finish around the rim layups or dunks, he hits the mid-range, can knock down 3's, finish regularly in transition.     He has the timing and patience to be NorCal's top shot blocker, and shot changer. He showed those qualities the last session of 3SSB. He's made significant strides with his ability to score in the paint. Improved footwork, using strength, a dribble or two. He'll work the baseline, from the mid and high post. Standing 6'5 with a solid body he's working to expand his game away from the basket. He's a double, double at this level.
