Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase – Team 11 Eye Catchers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are many great days across the busy Indiana High School Basketball schedule. However, few compare to our annual Prep Hoops Indiana Freshman Showcase and Prep Hoops. On Sunday, September 6th at the Noblesville Boys &amp; Girls Club we hosted nearly 250 of the best underclassmen in the state. Over the next couple of weeks we will be posting individual evaluations of every prospect in attendance, highlighting top performers, introducing new names, and much more.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here are evaluations of team 11, and specifically, how they squared off in the 5v5 portion of the freshman showcase.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>***As you can imagine, with nearly 250 prospects, we are bound to miss someone. He got injured, twisting his ankle, at the end of the game against Team 12, but he bounced back and played with great effort in game 2. Ruch can really catch air, possessing good leaping ability and can dunk. He can catch an alley-oop pass and dunk for an easy swish. Ruch is a good ball handler who can dribble-drive, penetrate and has good instincts to bounce the ball outside to open men for easy 3s. Made a great steal and wide-open layup for himself in Game 1. Banks made a couple of great steals in game 2. He has a good pull-up jumper and made a last-second three-point shot late in game 2. He is a great three-point shooter with excellent range., making several 3s against Team 12. He shoots with good form and follow-through with very good leaping ability. Good dribble-and-drive to the rim in game 2, showed being a good passer. The 6-foot-2 player from Hauser made a couple of very good blocks in transition near the basket, erasing potential points. He has a great pull-up jumper from 3 and makes smart decisions with the ball. Made a couple of nice three-pointers from deep; if he gets on a roll, he is hard to stop. Very much like Novak, he is very good from three-point range. He is a great shooter who still has time and room to grow with a good, lean frame. Makes good cuts to the basket underneath. Tough, gritty player on defense who gets on the court for loose balls. Plays under control and can create for himself under the rim. He is an outstanding defender with quick hands, good instincts who can undercut passing lanes and make steals. He is a good blocker around the hoop who can be very feisty with his hands. Stays in the hunt throughout the possession. He has a good frame with plenty of room to grow as a freshman. He is very good on defense, making steals to stop layups in transition, and flashes being a great three-point shooter.
