Fall League: Under The Radar Prospects

In this article, I feature five prospects who are flying slightly under the radar but definitely made their presence felt at the Fall League on Thursday.

Terrence Lee was tearing it up for Shadow Ridge in their game against the Eastside Knights. I was a big fan of his burst, and he had no problem carving up the defense throughout the game. He also maintained his coordination when decelerating and converted a number of tough finishes around the rim. Plus, he drew contact and got to the line somewhat frequently. All in all, it was a very good showing from Lee, and he is definitely a name you might see in the next rankings release.

[player_tooltip player_id='3663939' first='Tyshawn' last='Brown'] had a very impressive outing for the Crusaders in their win over the Pirates. He was connecting on shots from all over the court, and his first step was quite explosive, allowing him to create separation on his drives. He also used that speed to help close out the game, and I believe he finished with north of 20 points. Pretty impressive for a freshman, I would say.

Eli Herpin is a prospect that I've seen a couple of times now. He capitalized on his opportunities from beyond the arc and let it go with zero hesitation. Those threes turned out to be fairly crucial, and he made a nice impact with his shooting. I'm looking forward to seeing more from Herpin in the coming months.

I watched Julian Sabas play a little bit over the summer at the Nevada Live Invitational. He is a decisive guard who can punch the gas pedal as he gets towards the basket. He also plays with good pace and remains patient when the defense keys in on him, showing a willingness to make the extra pass. Savas should help them out on the defensive end as well with his quickness and experience. Right now, it's looking like he may be one of the Crusaders' lead guards this season.

Connor Schlider was making plays on both ends of the court for the Mustangs. On offense, he was a perimeter threat and put his textbook shooting stroke on display. He also made a few aggressive moves to the hoop and was able to finish. Defensively, Schleider was hustling and flying around the court, and I liked how he got scrappy when he needed to.
