CP3 Rising Stars National Camp: Superlative Awards (Tigers)

Winston-Salem, NC — The 14th annual CP3 Rising Stars National Camp brought Class of 2030 prospects from across the country to Winston-Salem for three days of skill work and five-on-five competition. Players were tested in a variety of areas during station work before transitioning to game play, giving our staff an opportunity to evaluate their individual strengths and how they operated within a team setting. The camp offered valuable insight into each prospect's skill level, feel for the game and production on both ends of the floor. Continuing our team-by-team coverage from the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp, we turn our attention to the Tigers and several prospects who put together strong performances...

Kshaun Daley was a force at the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp, using his strength and athleticism to consistently create advantages. He was especially effective as a scorer, where his physical tools made him difficult to contain once he attacked the basket. Daley powered through contact, finished plays around the rim and put pressure on defenders with his ability to get downhill. His combination of strength, explosiveness and scoring ability gave opposing defenders plenty of problems.

Malakhi Mensah's ball-handling was a major part of his production at the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp. He consistently broke defenders down off the dribble and created separation with a controlled, polished handle. Mensah kept his eyes up while working with the basketball, allowing him to see the floor and deliver accurate passes once the defense shifted. His ability to create off the bounce opened up opportunities for both himself and his teammates.

Travis Kershaw impressed with his defensive versatility at the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp. He took on different assignments and had success defending multiple positions, using his athleticism and activity to stay in front of opposing players. Kershaw applied consistent pressure, forced turnovers and made clean scoring opportunities difficult to come by. He used strong hands to secure the ball through traffic and was productive on both the offensive and defensive boards. Blair established good position around the basket and pursued missed shots with purpose rather than waiting for the ball to come to him. His work on the glass provided the Tigers with extra possessions while limiting second-chance opportunities on the other end.

Sonny Watkins flashed plenty of long-term upside at the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp, with his scoring ability being a major reason why. He had a natural feel for creating offense and found different ways to put the ball in the basket without forcing the issue. Watkins has a scoring package that should continue to translate as he develops, giving him an intriguing offensive foundation moving forward. There is considerable potential in his game as his skill set continues to progress.

Justin Seals consistently found ways to help the Tigers at the CP3 Rising Stars National Camp. He had a good feel for where to be on the floor and regularly made plays that contributed to winning possessions. Seals impacted both ends without needing the basketball in his hands, whether it was making the extra pass, helping defensively or putting himself in position to make the right play.
