Athletic Prospects Headline Freshman Showcase Team 13 and 14

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><em>***Use Code “ScottyB30” for 30% off your subscription***</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We continue our team examinations from the Prep Hoops Freshman Showcase with a look at the prospects who caught our attention with their play on Team 13 and Team 14.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2906394' first='DJ' last='Moore'] (Marist)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This was my first extensive look at Moore and I could not have been more impressed with what I saw.&nbsp; The 6'2” long and lanky combo guard has quality size and length along with projectability.&nbsp; This kid plays with a ton of SWAG!&nbsp; He is good and he knows it, but he backs it up as well with his crisp and pure jump shot, silky smooth handles putting consistent pressure on the rim, and being an outstanding guard rebounder.&nbsp; He has that “it” factor you can not teach.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2966991' first='Kamarion' last='Sandifer'] (Rich Township)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sandifer is a 6'4” power forward that is among the more athletic prospects in the class.&nbsp; He is a human pogo stick being able to get offensive rebound put backs and dunks on a regular basis.&nbsp; Quick first step with the ball in his hands and flies all over the place on the defensive end guarding the paint along with perimeter equally well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2385688' first='Stan' last='Strong Jr'] (Dyett)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong is a 5'9” guard out of Dyett that had some buzz coming into the event.&nbsp; The freshman made a believer out of me in my first evaluation of him.&nbsp; Lead guard that lived in the paint getting penetration with his quickness off the dribble.&nbsp; It was really how he finished at his size against larger defenders that impressed.&nbsp; So crafty with finger rolls, spinning finishes, and soft touch finishes.&nbsp; Knocked in several jumpers letting it fly with confidence.&nbsp; Also liked what he brought as a passer finding guys off live dribbles.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Demario Wedley (Richwoods)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Richwoods 5'7” point guard who showed a nice soft touch finishing game around the hoop.&nbsp; Also liked how he was actively cutting off the ball in a showcase setting.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3542961' first='Sam' last='Hardman'] (Downers Grove North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hardman is a 5'10” guard from DGN that can really shoot it at a high level.&nbsp; Poured in the threes with a clean release from beyond the arc.&nbsp; Scrappy guard that snuck in for put backs.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2400236' first='Taj' last='Williams'] (Yorkville)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams is a 5'11” guard out of Yorkville that has a thick frame for a combo guard.&nbsp; Like what he brought to the table as a quality passer that competed defensively and showed potential with the jumper.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jon Romaro (Benet)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Romaro was part of the Benet group that made noise at the camp.&nbsp; The 6'2” small forward is an active rebounder and solid athlete.&nbsp; Effective working on the baseline along with being a quality defender.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3727909' first='Tate' last='Olson'] (Normal U-High)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Olson is a central Illinois product at 5'11” who showcased a solid floor game.&nbsp; The PG mixed in an array of soft touch finishes along with a nice pull up three.<br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
