Arizona Freshman Expo: Intriguing Wings

The Arizona Freshman Expo was my first look at some off the top players in the 2030 class heading into the new season. The overall talent from this class is very intriguing and looks to shape up very well in the next couple years. We have amazing prospects from every position and I will highlight the players I viewed and spilt them up into three categories Guards, Wings and forwards/Centers.    Brad is a legit prospect that will turn heads on the national level and become a premier player in Arizona. His advanced frame and next level athletic ability made him look like a man amongst boys. He was able to get to the rim at will and bump off defenders for easy layups or dunks. Brad has a nice mid range game and will use side steps and stepbacks to create separation for easy mid range bucket's. Brad has a great IQ and overall feel for the game. He is very unselfish on the floor and will always give the extra pass. Expect big thing from this young athlete.     Isaiah is a very impressive player with great size and skill on the wing. He has a solid frame and length that allows him to be a great defender and very versatile. He forced tough shots the entire Expo and was even able to get a couple blocks on shooters. He has great lateral quickness and can cut off defenders with ease. He showed off his tough shot making ability in the midrange and will rise over defenders. He Finishes strong at the rim and will even dunk it on unsuspecting defenders. Isaiah is a great prospect that will make a name for himself this year.     Nick is a great athlete with a solid frame that seems to be still growing. He is oozing with potential and has all the tools to be special. He plays the game very calm and within himself. He is tough to stop when going downhill and holds the ball strong and high when attacking. He has a very fluid handle for his size and will expose slower foot defenders. His shot looks solid and was able to to hit multiple catch and shoot threes. He can also post up smaller defenders for easy buckets. He creates mismatches all over the court and will develop into a special player.     Travius is a amazing athlete for his age and shows flashes of being a great playmaker for himself and others. He is hard to stop in the open court and uses his speed to get to the rim at will. He plays above the rim and will dunk the ball when given the chance. He has a smooth looking stroke from the outside and can hit it off the dribble or catch. He naturally draws help defenders and is a good passer for his position looking to dish kickouts to shooters. He has potential to be special on the defensive end with his god given abilities and motor. Expect a big year from him with a big role on a good Carl Hayden varsity team.     Andrew is a very intriguing prospect on the wing and has the ability to become a legit player for Mesquite. He is one of the best athletes in the class and put it on display during the Expo. He is great at running lanes in transition and making himself available on the break. He can blow by slower foot defenders and finish strong at the rim through contact. He was able to hit the three off of the catch and was a great floor stretcher. Andrew will be in the one of the best Freshman in 4A this year.
