Before the season tip-offs, I wanted to preview every division of every conference in the state. These will have player breakdowns, coach quotes, and more. It should be noted that almost all the stats, such as records or returning players, are from MaxPreps/Scorebook Live. I say this because records on scorebook live are not 100% accurate. He averages 20 points a game. He finished with a career high of 38 points in our final game of the season last year. Jordan Rainey is a 6'2” forward who is amazingly athletic. Other coaches refer to him as “the jumper.” He averages around 10 points and 8 rebounds a game. In his junior season, he showed he could run an offense at a high level from a scoring role. Stroud loves to get out in transition, where he finishes well around the basket. Stroud showed he can go through defenders and elevate over them for floaters. What makes Stroud such a lethal scorer is his catch-and-shoot ability. He's a great defender, anticipating passes at a high level without being too aggressive. As he goes into his senior season, the expectation is that he'll take another jump offensively. The Texas State football commit rebounds very well, not relying just on size. He works for position and can out-jump others normally. Duff is a matchup nightmare for defenses in the post. He can put the ball on the floor and attack the basket out of the free-throw area. Using a variety of moves, such as a hop step or post hook. What helps make Duff such a weapon is his playmaking capability. The forward can space the floor off the catch and even showed some off-the-dribble abilities from the mid-range area and behind the arc. As an athletic 6'6 post, Ty has nice touch around the rim, being able to elevate opposing defenders. As the floor general, Alex showed he can run a offense successfully. At 6'4, he can play a multitude of roles on offense and defense. Defensively, he's a smart, switchable defender, being able to guard 1-4 easily. One of my faviorte things about the guard is his rebounding. It's very normal to see him come down with a board before pushing the break or setting up the offense in a half-court set. What rounds out his game is his playmaking.
