Uptown End of Summer Workout Upperclassmen Standouts

Uptown closed out the summer with a talented group in the gym on Sunday, giving several prospects an opportunity to make one final impression before attention fully shifts toward the high school season. The 2028 group featured a good mix of established names and players who could be in line for bigger seasons over the next year. Here is a closer look at some of the standouts from the workout.    Lewis impressed with his ability to get to the rim and either finish through traffic or find open teammates. He consistently picked out cutters and shooters on his way to the basket and was one of the most effective scorers in attendance. His ability to create offense while still keeping teammates involved made him difficult to contain throughout the workout.     Clark jumped over and finished the summer with Uptown, and assuming he stays, would give the Pennsylvania program another talented shooter who can also play on the ball when needed. Clark knocked down some timely jumpers on Sunday and showcased his ability to get hot in a hurry in the process. His combination of shooting and secondary creation should make him an intriguing piece moving forward.     A rangy and versatile forward, Brennan stood out because of his ability to impact the game in a variety of ways. The 6-foot-7 forward rebounded, made plays for teammates, and consistently found opportunities to score by cutting without the ball. With his size and versatility defensively, Brennan should draw plenty of scholarship interest over the next two seasons.     Savior has made a real leap developmentally since arriving at The Hill School at the start of the summer. A legitimate 6-foot-7 forward who can make defenses pay from deep, guard on the wing, and rebound, Savior fits the modern game well. Division I programs have already begun to get involved, but with two years still to go, expect things to continue picking up on the recruiting front.     One of the better shooters in the gym on Sunday, Felician showed off range well beyond the three-point line. He also spent time guarding both guard positions and made a number of smart cuts away from the ball to get himself open. With his shooting ability and willingness to impact the game without needing the ball in his hands, he is a name college programs are going to want to get familiar with.     After impressing as a bench player last season, Leatherbury enters year two at Perkiomen looking ready to step into a larger role. A cat-quick guard who can create off the dribble for others, Leatherbury did a good job setting the table on one end and was arguably the best point-of-attack defender in attendance on the other. His combination of quickness, playmaking, and defensive pressure should help him take on more responsibility this season.
