Top new guards from 2028 Rankings Update Part 2

Our 2028 rankings update saw almost 30 prospects make their debut in our rankings, in this article we'll break down four guards who were added to the list.    Toledo St John's has been one of the top programs in northwest Ohio as they develop talent and they become major contributors as upperclassmen. Lindsay seems next in line to step into a major role as an upperclassman this winter after getting some quality action last season. Lindsay plays hard, has a quick first step and is able to attack closeouts thanks to his ability to make shots on the perimeter. The Titans offense relies on unselfish play from their guards to operate at the highest level and Lindsay has shown the ability to fit in with that system. Expect to hear a lot about Lindsay in the Detroit Catholic League this winter.     I loved watching the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] Black 16 U group this summer as they had a variety of guys who could score the basketball and make plays with the ball in their hands. Playing up at the 17 U level as a team in July, Hall hit a game winner to send his team to the 17 U championship on the GBL circuit. As a sophomore, Hall was named second team all-state for Willard after scoring over 20 PPG and dishing out over four assists per contest as well. I was impressed with Hall's ability to make shots off the catch while also displaying impressive pace off the dribble when he attacked off the bounce. Looking like one of the top small-town prospects in northwest Ohio's 2028 class, expect Hall to continue to put up huge numbers in the SBC.     Another GBL standout from this summer, Yeary was a standout perimeter shooter for his Midwest Basketball Club squad this summer. Also playing a major role for Worthington Christian as a sophomore, a rare accomplishment in their program, Yeary has lots of experience playing winning basketball. Yeary was also on the championship team of the Pumas Fall League in Columbus last fall as he's able to make shots and contribute alongside other talented pieces. Yeary projects as a small college target due to his basketball IQ and offensive skill.     The third northwest Ohio prospect featured in this article, Taylor has been a constant presence at Prep Hoops showcase events, showing his talents against other prospects from across the state. Playing up at the 17 U level this summer for Hoop Nation on the Adidas Gold circuit, Taylor showed the ability to handle pressure and create off the dribble. I'd guess the experience Taylor gained from playing up at the 17 U level this summer will give him extra confidence heading into the high school season with Holland Springfield, a program that's gone up in wins each of the last two seasons.
