August 17th-18th Cedric Cobb Sr and I held the 9th annual Southwest Basketball Camp at the Phhacility in Phx, AZ.

120 players came to gain exposure in front of college coaches and scouts plus compete versus some top end players over the two days.

Each player competed in 5 games for the two days plus 48 competed in an extra All-Star Game. (Top-24 or Top-48 All-Star Game)

Here is the 4th Team

[player_tooltip player_id='2268365' first='Kristian' last='Del Rio'] Cienega

One of the steadier performers at the camp was Del Rio. The scoring guard is very polished with mid-range pull-ups, catch threes, off the dribble mid-range jumpers, left or right hand layups and smartly plays off of two feet. He also rebounds well in his area. Him and Moore are one of the best senior duos in Tucson.

[player_tooltip player_id='2533645' first='Wyatt' last='Fulton'] Rancho Solano Prep

An improving athlete is a scoring combo guard who can play either guard spot. He has good size and uses it to get downhill and he can now throw it down on the break effortlessly. He rebounds well and will score with threes off the catch, put backs and floaters. He should have a monster season for Rancho.

[player_tooltip player_id='2292816' first='Luke' last='Galvanoni'] Mesquite

A bigger wing forward who can play and defend a few positions. He will score it with mid-range jumpers, pull-up threes, euro steps, dunks in the lane with only a couple strides and nice takes around the rim. He will rebound, block shots and closes out to shooters.

[player_tooltip player_id='3662716' first='Sakai' last='Givens'] Chandler

A thicker framed scoring guard is a tough cover. He will score it a variety of ways with off the dribble threes, mid-range pull-ups, catch triples and tough downhill takes in traffic. He is a sneaky good passer with high competitiveness. He plays with a motor and is stout on the ball defensively.

[player_tooltip player_id='2146237' first='Jeremiah' last='Haslerig'] Centennial

A bigger guard with versatility. He has long limbs and he looks like he is morphing into a 3 and D type. He is a good rebounder in his area and his length bothers his opponents and plays the passing lanes to collect steals. He will score with mid-range pull-ups and threes off the catch.

[player_tooltip player_id='3726238' first='Steve' last='Lewis'] Sequoia Prep

A bigger true point guard is a next level passer. He has great timing with his passes with some needle threaders. He will also score it with threes off the catch, downhill takes and fade aways in the post. He is quick on the ball defensively and great in the passing lanes.

[player_tooltip player_id='3588606' first='Makoi' last='Makoi'] Elite Sports Academy

A very tall and fluid mover is all upside at this point. He runs well from end to end and will protect the paint and score it. He will score it with fall aways, threes off the catch, tip ins, dunks in the lane way above the rim and mid-range jumpers. He will rebound well and block shots.

[player_tooltip player_id='3726197' first='Brody' last='Pendleton'] Coronado (Pictured)

A local newcomer for me was a pleasant surprise. He is undersized but is very smooth and highly skilled. He has nice speed in the open court and will drive and kick it to make players around him better. He will score with blow bys to the basket, floaters, mid-range jumpers and threes.

[player_tooltip player_id='3726122' first='Elijah' last='Rone'] Willow Canyon

A newcomer from Australia who is a very strong downhill stud with an impressive frame. He seems to bounce off of defenders and almost seeks the contact. He has very good open court speed and will dribble past his defenders and he is a capable three point shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='2894935' first='Kendell' last='Stapleton'] Chandler

A quick on quick true point guard has next level speed with the ball and a tighter handle. He will jet down the middle and get downhill and will often drive and kick it and find a teammate. He can take the ball off the glass and go coast to coast and will score with mid-range pull-ups and slick drives. He is very competitive and shows a drive to not want to lose any game.
