Spencer’s Standouts-2028s Outside the Top 75

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The newest 2028 rankings have just been released. These were some players who were ranked outside the top 75, but I think they will still be very valuable in the AIA setting. Here are some of my standouts below:<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2724508' first='Jackson' last='Warner'] <strong>Notre Dame Prep:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jackson is a sharpshooter who is always looking to get a shot off. He is one of 5 2028s on this Notre Dame team who round out the starting 5. He has great positional size and uses that to get his shot up over shorter defenders. Jackson has a high basketball IQ and uses that to find open teammates. Along with that, he is able to be a smart defender and play to his advantage. He will be a big piece of this Notre Dame Prep team as they look to do damage in 5A.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3625613' first='Domino' last='Moore'] <strong>Hamilton:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A quick-on-quick guard who is going to play a big role for this 6A squad. He does a lot of damage on the defensive end, which allows him to get easy transition buckets. He organizes the offense well and sets up his teammates. Domino can get downhill well and has crafty finishes around the rim. He is a reliable shooter from the outside as well.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2749319' first='Luke' last='Zarob'] <strong>St. Mary's Catholic:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big man who is looking to have a breakout year. With all of the seniors that graduated from St. Mary's and everyone who transferred, Luke is going to have a big role. He can play physical down low and uses pump fakes well. He extends his range to the 3-point line occasionally. He can defend multiple positions and defends the rim well. Luke should have a huge year for St. Mary's this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2506453' first='Landon' last='Abrams'] <strong>Brophy College Prep:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring guard who is looking to make his mark. Landon has a smooth jumper as he shoots a lot of catch-and-shoot 3s. He uses pumpfakes well, which allows him to get downhill and finish with floaters. He is able to guard his position defensively and always is in good help-side position. Landon will play a crucial role for Brophy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3259747' first='DJ' last='Charles'] <strong>Canyon View:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A tough, quick-on-quick guard continues to produce. He defends his position really well, forcing a lot of turnovers. He provides a spark of energy on the defensive end. DJ can break down defenders and finish in the paint. He will hit the three-ball consistently and get into the midrange as well. DJ will continue to thrive in his role for Canyon View this upcoming season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3493692' first='Kellan' last='Walz'] <strong>San Tan Charter:</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A skilled big man who is looking to have a huge year. Kellan has extremely soft hands and a super soft touch. He uses his frame well to set solid screens and rolls hard to the rim. He has skilled post moves in the painted area. He will be able to dominate smaller defenders. Kellan has a nice fadeaway jumper that he can hit consistently. Transferring from Perry, he will be looking to dominate for San Tan Charter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
