Rising Fast: 2028 Prospects Climbing Updated Rankings

Following a busy spring and summer of high school and grassroots basketball, several rising juniors made significant moves up the board. Here is a closer look at some of the 2028 prospects trending up heading into the 2026-27 season.    After making the move to Bishop O'Connell, Cully put together a strong summer and climbed into the Top 15 of our updated rankings. The junior is a skilled wing with good positional size and is a reliable perimeter shot maker with range beyond the arc. Cully moves well without the ball, has a high basketball IQ and consistently finds ways to impact the game within the flow of the offense. He is also a solid athlete, giving him an intriguing combination of size, shooting and feel on the wing.     Mikell was a solid contributor for Team Loaded throughout the summer and brings an intriguing combination of positional size, length and athleticism to the wing. The junior is an above the rim finisher who uses his physical tools effectively when attacking the basket and in transition. Mikell's overall skill set continues to improve, including his perimeter shot making and ability to create offense off the bounce. He is developing into a more complete three level scoring threat and remains a prospect with plenty of upside.     The junior moves into the Top 40 of our updated rankings after averaging more than 14 points and six rebounds per game for VA Havoc. He has good positional size and is a capable three level scorer who is especially effective getting downhill and attacking the rim. An above average athlete, he excels in transition and brings consistent activity to the glass on both ends of the floor. He also uses his length and instincts effectively on the defensive end, where he is active in the passing lanes and can create turnovers.     Little makes the move to Catholic for his junior season after averaging 11.8 points and 13 rebounds per game with [program_tooltip program_id='3424568' first='Team' last='Loaded Gold'] this summer. He plays with a high motor and is a productive interior scorer who can finish effectively with either hand around the basket. Little also shows good touch in the midrange and is capable of knocking down open jump shots. On the defensive end, his size and activity allow him to alter shots in the paint and provide a consistent presence around the rim.     Tchounteu moves up to #43 in our updated rankings and continues to trend in the right direction. The developing big man plays with a high motor, moves well for his size and is an above the rim finisher. His combination of size, mobility and athleticism gives him an intriguing recruiting target in the frontcourt.
