The diminuitive guard makes very good decisions in the halfcourt. His touch around the trees in the lane is surprisingly good though he will certainly find it trickier scoring over college frontlines at his size. Handle remains very good. Crochrell played both guard positions last winter with Harding Academy, but he is clearly a point guard in nature and size. As a sophomore, Crochrell averaged 9.1 points per game, 2.4 rpg, 1.9 steals a night and 1.7 assists per.

#97 [player_tooltip player_id='2933245' first='John' last='Williams'] (Lipscomb Academy)

[player_tooltip player_id='2933245' first='John' last='Williams'] will be a catch-and-shoot guy for Lipscomb Academy, perhaps a bit more. Teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1860333' first='Langsten' last='Jordan'] figures to be the primary ball-handler and there are other capable dribblers in the squad. Read much more about why John is ranked in the Top 100 here.

[player_tooltip player_id='2933245' first='John' last='Williams'] attacking [player_tooltip player_id='2765358' first='Parker' last='Holland'] at PrepHoopsTN Combine 2026

#98 [player_tooltip player_id='3560802' first='La'Tavean' last='Cannon'] (Peabody)

[player_tooltip player_id='3560802' first='La'Tavean' last='Cannon'] was a role player for 2A State Quarterfinalist Peabody High in 2025-2026. He played just the courtesy minute in their 83-66 loss to Chattanooga Prep during the season's final week.

The limiting factor for Cannon will be his height. He stood 5-foot-8 as a sophomore last season.

Cannon can handle with the best west Tenn guys and his ability to initiate via the dribble is above average.

#99 [player_tooltip player_id='2560597' first='Braylon' last='Jones'] (Donelson Christian)

Nice guard height and size. [player_tooltip player_id='2560597' first='Braylon' last='Jones'] stood 6-foot-1 as a sophomore weighing about 175 pounds. Very quick firststep. Braylon dominated during BCAT in June where his Donelson Christian Academy team finished 4-0. They won the only two games they played at Wilson Central High's team camp.

Jones played especially tough defense on swing passes and passes from the wing to the top of the key. His leaping and arm length frequently enabled him to deflect passes, even keep some.

#100 [player_tooltip player_id='3554319' first='Ryan' last='Carter'] (Houston County)

Tall, strong, powerful. [player_tooltip player_id='3554319' first='Ryan' last='Carter'] owned the lane most nights for Houston County. Would you believe he averaged a double-double (17.7 ppg, 10.7 rpg) during his sophomore season? The numbers are staggering. Thanks in large part to his size (6-foot-6, 265 pounds) Carter conquered foes consistently in the hunt for rebounds. Defensively, Carter was solid too. With the football team Carter plays both offensive tackle and linebacker. Abnormally strong. He is not fleet of foot, but does not play stuff. Carter projects as a fringe NAIA big man.

Peruse the complete 2028 rankings.

Follow @AndrewForce8.
