2028 Updated Rankings: Five Wings Making Their Move

Our <a href="https://prephoops.com/georgia/rankings/2028-rankings/">Updated 2028 Rankings</a> have expanded to include 136 players in the junior class. Camps, showcases and tournaments during June and July provided plenty of opportunties for our staff to evaluate prospects from around the state. Here is a look at five wing prospects on the rise heading into the fall.    McClure is a high level scoring wing with good positional size and an impressive offensive skill set. He is a reliable perimeter shot-maker with range beyond the arc and has better than average ball skills, giving him the ability to create offense off the bounce. McClure is also a solid athlete who can finish above the rim and plays with a good feel and impressive basketball instincts. He impressed with Team Person throughout the grassroots season and continues to establish himself as a prospect in the junior class.     Allen averaged 8.5 points per game for Atlanta Xpress this summer and established himself as a reliable scoring option in the backcourt. He is a capable scoring guard with a high basketball IQ who can create his own offense off the dribble and is difficult for defenders to keep out of the paint. Allen is also a reliable perimeter shot-maker with range beyond the arc, giving him the ability to score at multiple levels.     One of the state's top pure shooters, Strom is a high level perimeter shot-maker with a quick, compact release and impressive range. He moves well without the ball, reads defenders effectively and does an excellent job using screens to create open looks. Strom plays with confidence and has a good feel for the game, consistently finding ways to create scoring opportunities both within the flow of the offense and away from the ball.     Matta moved into the Top 50 of our updated rankings. The junior is a wing with length, good positional size and above average athleticism who is at his best attacking the basket and finishing in the paint. Matta plays with a high motor and brings consistent effort on both ends of the floor, using his length and athleticism to impact the game in a variety of ways.     Singleton moved up a handful of spots in our updated 2028 rankings and continues to trend in the right direction as a prospect. He is an athletic wing who excels at getting downhill off the bounce and consistently puts pressure on the defense with his ability to attack the basket. Singleton is an above the rim finisher with the ball skills to create his own offense off the dribble, giving him an intriguing combination of athleticism and offensive versatility.
