2028 Rankings Update: Prospects Climbing the Board

Several prospects elevated their stock with impressive performances throughout June and July, while others continued to show steady improvement in their game. Here is a closer look at some of the juniors making their move up the rankings.    Willmore is a shifty ball-handling guard who averaged nearly 12 points and three assists per game for OBG Elite. The junior makes the move to Balboa for the 2026-27 season and brings a high basketball IQ and impressive command of the ball. He is a capable three level scorer who changes speeds effectively and can create his own offense off the dribble. Willmore also sees the floor well and is a good passer who consistently creates opportunities for teammates..     The Wisconsin native moved inside the Top 80 of our updated 2028 rankings and continues to trend in the right direction as a prospect. West is a high level athlete and aggressive attacking guard who excels at getting past defenders and putting pressure on the defense. He is especially dangerous in transition, where he can push the pace and finish above the rim, and has the ball skills to create his own offense off the dribble. West also competes on the defensive end, where he is a willing and capable on-ball defender.     Fitzgerald makes the move to Armwood for his junior season after moving up 16 spots in our updated 2028 rankings. The versatile left handed combo forward has good positional size and length and can stretch the floor with his perimeter shot making ability. He has a high basketball IQ, moves well without the ball and consistently finds ways to make an impact on the offensive end. Fitzgerald is also a good passer with impressive feel and some playmaking ability, giving him an combination of size, skill and versatility as a prospect.     Gorman moves up to No. 43 in our updated rankings and continues to impress with each evaluation. The North Broward Prep product is a skilled wing with good positional size, above average athleticism and a high basketball IQ. He is a reliable perimeter shot maker with range beyond the arc and continues to improve his ability to create offense with the ball in his hands. Gorman is also a high academic prospect competing for one of the state's top high school programs.     Naranjo continued his rise up the rankings following an impressive summer with 1Family. The junior is a versatile scoring threat who can put points on the board at all three levels and has the athleticism to finish above the rim. He also has a good feel for the game and continues to show growth in his overall offensive skill set. Expect Naranjo to continue trending upward during the 2026-27 season.
