[player_tooltip player_id='3199607' first='Jaxson' last='Grant'] is still at SECTA, where he'll look to continue developing and elevating his game. He is most known for his interior moves, and he can be a tough opponent to slow down when he really gets going. He's the type of guy who absorbs contact and has the strength to knock his matchup backward. In addition to his physical play inside, he works hard to gather rebounds. He can also leverage his height to be disruptive on the defensive end.

Desert Pines QB1 and PF [player_tooltip player_id='2819207' first='Jerome' last='Jackson Sequiera'] could be stepping into an expanded role during his junior campaign. He's a very entertaining prospect to watch, as he's always putting his hard hat on to battle opponents in the paint. On offense, he's a real threat to score second-chance points, and he's playing above the rim now as well. On defense, he doesn't give up ground easily and will alter shots with his length.

[player_tooltip player_id='3675466' first='La'dainian' last='Powell'] has the size and athleticism to make an impact on both ends of the court. Defensively, he can take away driving lanes by cutting his matchup off, and he eliminates breathing room with his wingspan. When he wants to score on offense, he can get downhill and convert tough finishes. Although he may be flying under the radar a bit right now, a strong fall and winter could quickly change that.

[player_tooltip player_id='2634178' first='Kru' last='Brown'] is another Desert Pines third-year forward who figures to be in line for a few more minutes. He stands around 6'6”, which gives him an advantage when it comes to high-pointing rebounds. He's also capable of consistently contesting shots and could be good for a block or two per game this upcoming season. On offense, Brown makes swift moves around the rack and his height helps him drop in shots.

Carlos Ferguson is a versatile forward who can get buckets thanks to his instincts, frame, and touch. He is able to connect on close-range shots, as well as shots from beyond the arc, meaning his matchup needs to track him constantly. Ferguson also provides quality defense and can help force turnovers or tough shots. Look for him to potentially land on a standout article or two this fall.
