Weekend Standouts From The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse

For us at Prep Hoops Indiana there is no more fitting way to celebrate the Fourth of July and America's 250th birthday than with a weekend in the gym. We covered two different events on Saturday and Sunday between the Firecracker Classic at Finch Creek Fieldhouse and NXTPRO Session 10 at The Farmers Bank Fieldhouse in Lebanon. Here are some of the top individual performers that we had the chance to at NXTPRO Session 10 over the weekend.   <hr class="wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity" />    On Saturday night when we watched GoTime Basketball 15u it was Brower who was on fire from the field. The sharpshooting guard from Hamilton Southeastern High School poured in 21 points, including a late three-point shot that tied the game, against a very talented opponent. Brower is a name to remember as he comes up through the system at HSE. Very skilled shot-maker.     Anytime GoTime Basketball 15u needed a bucket on Sunday morning it seemed like Clayton was the one to deliver. The 5'9" skilled point guard had success operating off of ballscreens and winning isolation battles from the perimeter. He is a quick, confident driver with the ability to finish in a variety of ways against opposing size. Clayton went on to share game-high scoring honors with 18 points.     Coomes led [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 15u with 18 points on Sunday morning in a 60-43 win over a good GoTime Basketball 15u team. The 6'3" wing/forward from Columbus North High School came off the bench and immediately provided a spark. He knocked down a catch-and-shoot three-pointer start off his scoring and then started dominating around the basket. Coomes operated inside of the defenses 2-3 Zone utilizing his strength and interior skill to finish consistently.     With the way Goins is playing this summer it looks like Parke Heritage may be reloading more than they are rebuilding. The talented 5'11" guard showed off some real shiftiness with the ball in his hands consistently beating his man off of the dribble and finishing with both hands at the end of his drives. He also shot it well from three-point range. Goins finished with 26 points for Fire Basketball 17u in the game that we watched on Sunday.     [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] Black 16u picked up a very impressive 73-71 win over a good KBC East 16u squad on Saturday afternoon. It was McAtee who played a key role in the win for GPP scoring it from all levels on the floor. He had success creating shots for himself as the primary ball handler, finished well at the end of his drives, and knocked in some big shots from beyond the arc. McAtee finished with somewhere around 25 points in the game.     We had the chance to watch Pearce play both on Saturday night and Sunday morning. The 6'3" wing delivered as he normally does showcasing his offensive versatility. Pearce is a capable shooter from three-point range, he knocked down a few on the weekend, but is especially effective off of the bounce where he can use his positional size and strength against smaller defenders. He is really hard to deal with off of the dribble and when he gets around the basket. Lanesville has a good one in this rising junior prospect.
