State Championship PG Kamari Jennings plans first visit

Prep Hoops Kansas caught up with Jennings to discuss his recruitment and a big July!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In watching one of his recent games in review, the fearlessness and pace of the Jennings attack exploded off the screen as did the court IQ he competed with. It's a signature that makes Kamari who he is on the court. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I'd describe my game as a high-IQ guard who can score on all three levels while making the right play," Kamari explained. "I can play on or off the ball, create for my teammates, defend multiple positions, and I take pride in competing on both ends of the floor."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>College coaches are seeing this as well. Two schools have offered and one is about to get a visit from Jennings. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I've been blessed to receive offers from Ottawa University and the University of Saint Mary," he explained. "Right now, I've been talking the most with Tabor College, and I'm excited to see where the recruiting process takes me as I continue to develop.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I have not taken any visits yet, but I am going to Tabor on July 21st."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Before he gets to that visit, Kamari has a lot to accomplish playing with the Padres. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"One of my biggest goals for the rest of the summer is to keep improving every part of my game and finish the AAU season strong. I want to continue competing against high level talent, prove that I can impact games on both ends of the floor, and keep earning opportunities to play in front of college coaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"The 17U season has been a great opportunity to continue growing my game. AAU has allowed me to compete against high-level talent every weekend, and one of the biggest highlights was earning the opportunity to participate in the OTE tryouts, where I gained valuable experience competing against elite competition.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I'm also focused on carrying that momentum into my high school season by continuing to develop as a leader and helping my team compete for another state championship."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kamari was a state champion, a first team all league player and a first team all state player. And Wichita Colleigate continued that momentum into June events.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"June with my high school team was another highlight as we adjusted after losing three starters from our state championship team, built new chemistry, and embraced bigger roles," Jennings said.
