S7/NLI Pure PG’s

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>June 12-14 I attended the prestigious&nbsp;<strong>Section-7</strong>&nbsp;located at the Arizona Athletic Grounds in Mesa and June 26-28 I attended the inaugural&nbsp;<strong>Nevada Live Invitational&nbsp;</strong>at the Las Vegas Basketball Center. They are two premier live periods for college coaches to evaluate the HS players to potentially receive offers.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We will go over multiple categories of the 112 players and move over to</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">S7/NLI <strong>Pure PG's</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2407206' first='Cameron' last='Hurt'] Pinnacle (Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A really good showing for the pure PG. He has speed for days and a tighter handle to get into smaller spaces. He plays off of two feet and will find teammates in stride. He will score with threes off the catch and handles contact well in the paint after he bursts past his initial defender. He is competitive on defense and will collect steals and puts a ton of pressure on the defense attacking at will.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2133646' first='Myles' last='Godfrey'] Cactus Shadows&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He had a bigtime game in the one I viewed with 30 points 4 assists 4 steals and 6 rebs vs Campo. He scores it from all levels with quick spin moves to the basket, rip his opponents clean and lay it in on other end, play off of the pick and roll game and will burst by to score or needle thread to a teammate. He will also change speeds and rock his defender to sleep and go past and handles contact well. He will hit the three and make teammates around him better.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2427680' first='Conner' last='Tefteller'] Campo Verde</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>He had a nice game versus Cactus Shadows with 18 points 7 rebounds and 3 assists. He scores with runners, threes off the catch or pull, floaters, offensive rebound put backs, downhill bursts with either hand and consistently finds his teammates with drive and kicks. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2552765' first='David' last='Rossling'] Basha</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A high IQ real point guard who seems to always just play the right way. He will find teammates in stride with next level passes using advanced court vision and he can score. He will shoot the three, burst in the lane and find open spots on the floor.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2146267' first='Micah' last='Andrews'] Deer Valley&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the top on-ball defenders in the state has a dynamic first step to get to the basket. He will hit the three off the catch or pull and he has a sharp middy pull-up. He is also a top notch passer seeing the court with drive and kicks and up the court ropes.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1555181' first='Adrian' last='Higuera'] Millennium&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring pure point guard can definitely fill it up with mid-range pull-ups, threes off the catch and quick dribble drives but he is a fantastic passer in his own right. He will move the ball unselfishly and he may be one of the better alley-oop passes in the class.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2758274' first='Mateen' last='Cleaves Jr'] Dream City Christian&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger PG with elite feel. He can facilitate and score. He will get downhill with his super tight handle, hesitate and get to the basket. He can post up his defender with advanced footwork and hit the three. He is also a physical on-ball defender and top end rebounder with his size.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
