PICTURED: [player_tooltip player_id='2523934' first='Carter' last='Smith']

It was time to revisit the Class of 2028 rankings as July wrapped and adjust to account for the player's growth or stagnation. Rankings are subjective and PrepHoops.com/Tennessee (@CourtneyHoops90 + @AndrewForce8) ranks purely upon potential and where the player will be at their basketball peak. Production factors in only when helping prove the potential is greater or lesser. Why did we rank these guys? Why are they at this spot? Take a look at several Class of 2028 prospects and learn a little about their reputation.

The following players are now ranked in the Top 85 statewide (LEFT-new rank).

#81 [player_tooltip player_id='3192471' first='Jymari' last='Martin'] (Fulton)

Strong, nimble forward. Lacks the outside touch needed to be a college wing right now. Martin benefits from his height and strength. This vaulted him into the Top 100. But his skill must improve around the perimeter for him to stay in the Top 100. Martin is simply too short to be a college power forward. Good rebounder at the high school level. He does not need the basketball in his hands to impact the game.

#82 [player_tooltip player_id='3141759' first='Nortez' last='Foxx'] (Hillsboro)

Speedy guard. Nortez scored in the 6-point range as a sophomore. His first step helps him create problems, but his shooting range must improve. Foxx also plays football. He is better than average as a 4A athlete. Look for more from him this upcoming season.

#83 [player_tooltip player_id='2851144' first='Jamison' last='Jackson'] (University School of Nashville)

Steady scorer. Jamison can play either guard position. He can score. He can set up players. His role is set to grow tremendously this season after Bralyn Davis graduated. Jamison is ready for the burden because he put in the work as a younger hooper. And he has plenty of experience at the varsity level.ets and keeps his eyes on the rim earlier than most high school shooters.

#84 [player_tooltip player_id='2816212' first='Keirus' last='Cox'] (Fulton)

Seedy lead guard. Keirus splashed onto the scene as a sophomore and helped his team all the way to the final four in 2025-2026. Cox lost some of his ball-handling responsibilities and became more of an off-the-ball scorer because Fulton's younger guards proved worthy of making choices with pace. [player_tooltip player_id='3562839' first='Chaz' last='Wood'], [player_tooltip player_id='3562861' first='Albert' last='Harris'], [player_tooltip player_id='2816212' first='Keirus' last='Cox']. The team really figured out how to defend together, and the young guards followed [player_tooltip player_id='2495403' first='Nick' last='Steen']'s lead in giving effort consistently.

#85 [player_tooltip player_id='3337363' first='Rashawn' last='Hoosier'] (Beech)

Lean off-guard. Rashawn could be Beech's best player this upcoming winter thanks to his height for the position and aggression. Hoosier will do most of his damage below the free throw line as he prefers to get to the basket. Decent offensive rebounder. If he wants to, then Hoosier could be a solid two-way player. He owns the athleticism and size to defend a college wing in time. Hoosier must bring along the young and inexperienced Buccaneers because Cutter Sisk's absence will be noticed.

Peruse the complete 2028 rankings.

Follow @AndrewForce8.
