Summer hoops is won by the guys who bring a physical edge, push the break, and dominate the glass. Whether they were turning defense into instant transition points or burying clutch jumpers over smaller matchups, these seven standouts brought the spark their teams needed to win.    Fromm proved to be an incredibly reliable, all-around offensive weapon on the wing this weekend. While he turned heads with his strong downhill drives and sharp playmaking, his true value lay in his off-ball movement. A lethal catch-and-shoot threat, Fromm possesses a sturdy frame and plays with an infectious blend of pace and grit. Drive Select simply looked like a different team with him on the floor, gaining a noticeable physical edge and an extra spark of energy.     Payne served as the undisputed emotional and energetic heartbeat for the Blessed Ballers. A highly mobile big man, his agility shone brightest on the glass, where he constantly manufactured second-chance points and secured crucial tip-outs to extend possessions. What makes Payne uniquely dangerous is his open-floor capability—he repeatedly grabbed defensive rebounds and took the ball coast-to-coast himself, using a full head of steam to puncture the transition defense.     Johnson provided elite floor-spacing for PFG, tracking as a highly adaptable asset across multiple lineup variations. Playing with great situational awareness and a strong physical presence, he was a constant threat due to his continuous off-ball cutting and immediate shot readiness. Thanks to a high, unblockable release on his follow-through, Johnson routinely buried jumpers over smaller defenders, giving PFG a premium scoring option every minute he was on the hardwood.     Burnett continues to elevate his stock, putting together another eye-catching performance on the wing for Apex Elite. Utilizing a wiry wingspan and explosive athleticism, he dominated the glass on both ends, turning defensive rebounds into instant transition breaks. Burnett's mobility makes him a nightmare for opponents in full-court pressing situations, where he effectively disrupted passing lanes, while maintaining a relentless hunger for paint touches on the offensive end.     Biddle was at the center of nearly every major winning play for Apex Elite this weekend. A big-bodied wing with immense defensive versatility, Biddle excelled at securing rebounds, pushing the pace, and forcing defenses into disorganized retreat. In half-court sets, he flashed a tight handle and an impressive self-creation toolset. Given how many different ways Apex Elite was able to deploy him, Biddle has firmly cemented himself as a must-watch prospect moving forward.     Powell stepped into a "point forward" role this weekend and looked completely seamless doing it, displaying an incredibly mature, natural feel for the game. Facing off against a disciplined Breakaway squad, Powell consistently got to his spots and showcased a lethal mid-range jumper. His court vision is remarkably sharp, routinely delivering on-time, on-target passes to cutters and teammates in transition. He proved to be just as impactful manipulating the defense off the ball as he was running the show on it.    <h3 class="wp-block-heading"></h3>    Spicer was an absolute force, completely locking down the paint on both ends of the floor. Standing at an imposing 6-foot-6, his sheer length and presence altered countless drives and rim attempts. He was a masterclass in activity within Drive Select's zone defense; standard box-outs were practically useless against him due to his elite instincts for tracking the ball off the rim. Drive Select reaped massive rewards from Spicer's elite rim protection and absolute dominance on the boards.
