Prep Hoops Missouri takes a look at a group of perimeter players who have been on an upwards trajectory with how they have been performing in recent weeks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2334930' first='Brandon' last='Rooks'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075378' first='MPJ' last='Elite'] 17U): The 6'1" 2027 guard from Mid Missouri has been on an incredible heater throughout the summer. He was one of the state's top performers at the Midwest Showcase in June as he averaged more than 30 points a game on high efficiency and tremendous shooting range and creativity. He has continued his torrid scoring pace in July with his MPJ 17U squad. The better the competition he lines up against, the better he performs.

[player_tooltip player_id='2877207' first='Maverick' last='Davis'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2077051' first='Team' last='Ramey'] 16U EYCL): The 6'4" 2028 guard from Cardinal Ritter is having an excellent summer on the EYCL circuit. He has the unique combination of being an explosive athlete who also has the ability to light it up from 3-point range with his jumper. He's an ideal "3 and D" prospect, but he can also slash into the lane for acrobatic layups and elevate over defenders when he stops and pops in the mid-range area. He will be ready to take that next step next season as a primary scoring weapon for the Lions. He also picked up his first Division I offer this summer from Alabama A&M.

[player_tooltip player_id='2822906' first='Jesiah' last='Buchanan'] (MoKan Elite 16U): The 6'3" 2028 guard from Chaminade is a power wing player who is very tough to match up with. He is at his best when he is on the attack. He is an explosive athlete who can outmuscle smaller guards with hard attacks in the lane. He is too quick for big defenders. Many of the drives we saw in June resulted in resounding slam dunks. He was also shooting the 3-pointer very well which gives him another element for defenders to worry about.

Jordan Davis (PBA 16U):

[player_tooltip player_id='3622875' first='Colton' last='Waters'] (Hoop City BC 17U): A 6'2" 2027 guard from Principia had a big coming out party in early June in the championship game of the Hoops and Beyond Showcase when he made seven 3-pointers against Webster Groves in the championship game. He was also very good in July while playing with Hoop City (TN) on the New Balance P32 Circuit. In addition to his shooting prowess, he can also create his own shot off the dribble. He's patient in sizing up defenders before hitting them with a burst for the blow by one the way to the basket.

Jordan Davis (Porter Basketball Academy 17U): A 6'2" 2028 guard from Rock Bridge who has excelled with PBA this summer while playing up at the 17U level. He is an excellent athlete who is also fearless when he attacks the basket on the drive. He is a strong finisher at the rim where he will dunk on a defender. He creates well and can break down defenders with his slick handles. He also keeps defenses honest with his ability to knock down shots from 3-point range. He can also pull up and hit the mid-range jumper to give him three-level scoring chops.
