Ohio Gold 17u-1 Roster Breakdown | PH National Open Championship

Ohio Gold 17u showed skill and versatility all over the floor with star power in the backcourt as well as on the wings. He had it going early and often in the game that I rewatched. Shifty point guard with great quickness and handle that was able to get to any spot on the floor while being unselfish when the defense rotated. Showed his scoring ability from the perimeter with a smooth shot off the catch and off the dribble. [player_tooltip player_id='3544416' first='Trae' last='Robinson'] is a scored guard that ran the show and simply made the right basketball play. Plays at his own pace, but showed a nice burst on his first step that allowed him to get by his defender and get in the lane. Really confident stroke on his three-point stroke. Loved his playmaking ability off the dribble. Good perimeter skill set with a body and frame that can post up creating advantages on the offensive end with mismatches. Extremely active on both ends of the floor. Relentless rebounder that got a lot of points just off pure effort attacking the offensive glass. Nice inside-out game with the ability to hit the perimeter jumper, but thrived off the ball with basket cuts and finishes. Long and athletic defender that always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. Smooth shooter that is really good off the ball getting himself open and shot ready on the catch. Physical frame that guards multiple positions and rebounds well. Nice floor spacer, but was an excellent cutter off the ball and competed on both ends of the floor. Not the quickest or most athletic player but held his own on the defensive end being in the right place on rotations. Defensive anchor that clogged the paint with his size impacting every shot around the rim. Really mobile for his size. Switched on the perimeter and contained smaller players making every look difficult. Offensively a bit raw, but showed flashes of nice footwork and soft touch over his left shoulder. Really active on the glass on both ends. Good rebounder and defensive big man that controls the paint. Offensively he's a nice offensive hub in the middle of the lane and can really pass it. Showed flashes of a face up game in the midrange and the ability to put it on the floor.
