Liam Tesmer Talks Pac Summer Hoops, Track and Field Future

Maybe not the hops you are expecting to read about on a basketball page but he has them, and he's a hell of a lead guard for his teams as well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liam plays with PAC in the spring and summer and it was a memorable spring for a few different reasons:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"My season has gone really well," Liam said. "I've had to miss a lot of basketball for track during May and June though. The highlight of the season have been playing against RWE at Homefield (April 11th game during a MADE Hoops event) and playing top players in the country in Tulsa on the Pro 16 Circuit."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When Tesmer gets back to the court this summer what is his main goal?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"To make a deep run in the Puma Circuit!"</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That deep run would take place in Richmond, Virginia and Bryan, Texas the second and third weekends of July during the live period. Tesmer is the 6th ranked senior in the Kansas 2027 class rankings but he's also an elite track and field recruit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I have talked to a few division three schools (about college basketball) but I plan on going to college for track and field," Liam said. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>And that makes sense! We are talking about the state champion in the high jump (6'6) and the state champion in the long jump! Tesmer was also the state triple jump runner-up! He has set school records and filled the walls of his room with medals. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>So where is Liam looking to compete in track and field at the college level?</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"Wichita State is the main school looking at me right now," Tesmer said. "I'm currently planning a visit with them in the next couple months."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Liam still has a July session of 17u to go and a senior season of basketball to play. And on the court, what makes Liam such a talented player? In his own words he described his game in the following way....</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>"I would describe my basketball game as a downhill playmaker," Tesmer explained.
